The game is live now and those people playing are posting what's happening so I'm asking the questions. You fucking trolls have nothing better to do than to go from post to post writing condescending shit.
My guild is in game and already claiming our city, no worries here. I ask because too many games allow some people to get out quick and early, nevermind this exclusive access, and then the population drops when said players decide to wipe people endlessly.

As much as I was looking forward to playing on the Euro server at launch, I think I will wait until they get all of the game stopping issues and major bugs resolved while I wait for the NA server.....

This is territorial game. Look at EVE. Not everyone will be able to have a city or hamlet.

Pvp ffa, free loot, no safe zones, cities owned by players = if you come late wont have a chance. Ppl will have higher lvl, more contacts to call, higher skill, better equipment and will know the tricks of game. Its just the worse idea ever to allow enter ppl before than others for so many days of difference in a game like this. And it was not planed a staged release but just IN CASE they couldnt make a full release, just as last option cause obviously they know new ppl dont like joining servers of experienced and much higher lvl ppl and that happens in any pvp game, ppl go to new servers and not so much to old ones if they can.

I guess the OP missed what Darkfall was all about. The amount of idiotic replies to this thread just shows how much these trolls and whiny newcomers really know about Darkfall.
Your skills and armor will not matter as much as your own skill in battle. So an "advanced" player has some type of advantage in gear and skills, but there is still a chance you can beat him. This isn't WoW where you're basically screwed if you're a new player.
I'd recommend grouping up with people until you're good enough that you can go around solo. Though even when you do have the necessary skills and armor, going out solo is risky.

No you will not be at a serious disadvantage. Listen again: YOU WILL NOT BE AT A SERIOUS DISADVANTAGE. If you never macro you will still not be at a serious disadvantage. If you suck at the game you will be at a serious disadvantage though.
Walls take FOREVER to build. You can easily take cities from anyone for the first month if you are good. Not everythign can be macroed. Not even close.
So you are saying that 30-50 points of skill aren't a serious advantage?
That's the difference between macroing all night and not. 30-50 skill points.

The difference between 30 and 50 skill points is not a serious advantage. The 1 time special at 100 is, but not a huge difference otherwise.
There will be a difference with the larger number of skills you have to use, not the skill points in each skill. Magic has no place right now do to expence and time to develope it. Once players have the gold and time, magic school skills will make a big difference with higher skill. The melee and archer skills are basic right now. These will not have a large difference in skill progression. Player skill will still mean more than a skill level overall.
Larger groups of organized clans will do better than most of the other players. That is a given in any game on the market. They will work together in every way to dominate. No one can stop this.If everyone was allowed to start from the launch. These groups would still own.
Either try to join a good clan or wait till they start the in-fighting and splinter off into smaller clans. Or find a good number of players that want to do the same thing and make your own clan.

You know, they did confirm character transfers, but they never said you'd be transfrred with gear or cash.
In fact, they'd be crazy to permit such a thing, as the new players starting out would be rolled and it would discourage subs.

to all the mindless fanbois, this game isn't as skill based as you all think. Gear makes a big difference. As do pots (which are hard to obtain)
