All I see is "tommorrow" we're gonna open sales for the last 2-3 days, but I guess they need to fix their game first I assume. >.<
I don't mind waiting it's just since sales are gonna be limited, I have to keep an eye open since sales can open up at random, and their word lately hasn't been known to be trusted yeah know?

Honestly, you're better off waiting a week or two.
Preorder Diablo III | Preorder Guild Wars II
I would, I'm in no rush to play this game. However, they are teasing us with this "limited sales" bull crap. So I have to keep checking for any open sales for Darkfall. Whenever they decide to open again, and sale out, who knows when they will open more. If they would just keep it open, let everyone buy the game and put us in a queue, lets say I buy it and I have to wait in a two week queue, that'll be perfect! So now I can relax and not worry about not having a copy of the game and I only need to check my email once a day instead of "F5" every 30 minutes.
u right , there is no need to let customer wait like this.... its ok with when they say next order is in a week or so.... just this f5 waitin.... to get a spot...

The only problem with this is that AV missed virtually every target date and time they have set for themselves. They might as well just be realistic, take the orders, queue people up to be allowed to enter the game and say it will happen "Soon™". Just stop setting themselves up to fail by setting expectations that time and time again, they cannot meet.
I don't mind, to be honest. I think it's an interesting approach. I've seen a lot of games have a rocky opening as their servers are suddenty exposed to tens or hundreds of thousands of players, all trying to flood the newbie zones after creating accounts, etc.
And frankly, it just sucks. I think doing a limited sales release, so they can bring things up in a more controlled manner is a good idea.
I agree, the idea they had is fine, but again, they don't tell us when we can buy the game, and since it's limited, we have to keep checking constantly which is a absolute pain. Like I said, they should let lots of people purchase the game, put us in a queue and email us when our account is active, so at least we don't need to worry about buying the game and instead, we just check our emails once a day. /sigh, ah well, F5! AWAY!
It's almost like they dont care about us
You people are insane. The company is doing, what in some countries may qualify as rape, to you and you not only take it silently, you cry why can't they rape you sooner? Guys, the more you support amatures like Av, the more they believe they are doing the right thing and the more crap like that they will dump on you. Indy or not, company should not behave like that.

LOL
Even the people at Blizzard were amateurs once, and they only got where they are now by making mistakes with continued support from loyal fans. I am upset with the way we have been treated, but by no means do I believe they are doing it on purpose, or "raping" us as you. Of course if they had seen these problems coming and knew how to work around them they obviously would have, who wouldnt?
playing: darkfall
waiting: earthrise
I defiantly support letting everyone buy the game and just have them queue up for awhile or wait to activate there game accounts till they'r ready for more people so we don't have to do the F5 junk everyday hoping to get in like that 10minute opening a day or so ago.

First of all, the "rape" part was meant to be as a joke, to brighten the message of the post. Apparently I have failed sorry.
In any case, yes, every company has to start from somewhere, but I would rather they start a lot better then AV. You see, if we let AV go with this and if they ( god forbid ) actually do make money in a year or two then what would AV think? They would think that they would be able to get away with crap like this. What would other companies think? The same! Next thing we know, in 5 years, MMO market is full of these half-assed indy companies producing half-baked products and they excuses is "Well, we are indie, we are allowed to make bad stuff".
NO thank you! Indie or not, they CAN make good products. CCP was indie, they started fairly bad but nothing this bad. Why would anyone encourage a sloppy company to make money ? why not encourage good indie companies like CCP or Stardock? If you (as an indy company) want to make a MMO, then make sure you are ready for it. Make sure your finances allow you to take this task, make sure you have good administration, good programmers, good artists, good PR.
The only difference between Indy and big corp is, if big corp screws up, they have a chance to fix their mistake. Indies do not. But we should not encourage bad companies just for the sake of "indie". Thats just wrong.

Thanks man
Still dont understand why the fuck they dont update the main homepage.. even if darkfall is fun, the devs still suck donkey balls
As much as I am (sorta) interested in trying out Darkfall...I think I'll wait until a new server opens up hehe.
you only have a right to complain if they took your money, and if you truly couldn't cancel your preorder before you were charged 50$ dispute the claim so AV will get fined, they deserve it, so next time they will apply their brain before they do something
If they actually do go bankrupt no one should show them remorse, 80% of the beta testers said the game HAD to be delayed, if they go bankrupt they only have themselves to blame.

I'm all for learning from your mistakes, but I think blind faith is a little extreme to give to a game development company. I think they have their chance to do things right, and if they are going to mess up and miss deadlines then they should at least have the courtesy to say something, or some sort of message of promise that they are working on it. I'll be waiting for this all to settle down before I try playing but I certainly believe you guys who have been following it for so long are definitely getting screwed.

With your logic only murder victims would have the right to complain, nobody else.

You know, this reminds me a lot of a south park episode where Cartman limited the entry into a failling amustment park, which made people only want to get in MORE. Yes, so thats their diabolical plan.
Heard that one here before.
