SO are quests a waiste of time, should you do them?

    There are no quests.

    They released the game without any features.

    All you can do at the moment is PvP and craft.

    There are no mounts, no wildlife, no weather, no boats and only half the game world is actually modelled.

    If you stray too far from the starter zone you fall off the map and no matter what you do you can't log back in as you always go back to the same location. Search the forums if you want proof, lots of threads about getting stuck in a loop/terrain etc.

    Fanbois and aventure are trying to cover it up by posting lots of "amazing experience" threads sorry.

    Calm down it's not that bad.

    I know I said you could PvP and craft, well that's 50% true, you can't actually PvP as all hits are disabled or they haven't finished it yet so you can't actually damage anybody so far. So far nobody has actually been killed in the game.

    You can still craft though but all you can make are bags and hats.

    Unless they took it out since Beta,  the only correct thing in your post is weather and perhaps wildlife.

    Quests are a source of money of items.   There are some nice repeatable quests that can be done to help you farm up money a bit faster.

    You don't have to, and I know that a lot of people "hate" them.

    Personally I like them, and even though quests in DFO are nothing special, they will guide you around the areas and introduce to crafting, magic, NPCs, etc. nicely.

    Nah, I've seen bears on (player) videos, there is wildlife, but I suppose they're dead most of the time. :)

    There was one bengal Tiger before I killed it. If there had been two I wouldn't be here to tell you about it.

    While there are beginning quests and some as you move out into the world, this is more a make your quest game. You don't need quests to advance but they can give you an initial boost in gold and gear. Quest eventually fall on the individual or a clan leader. Give yourself a quest or your clan leader will know what needs to be done to advance. Rewards are built in to what you kill or what you create from what you killed or gathered.
