I'm not know for my patience. If I pre-order it and it doesn't arrive I usually end up close to cardiac arrest as my blood pressure rockets.

According to Game's UK web site it is out on the 12th, I'll be going straight to there nearest store after work on Friday !!
Pre-ordered a copy from Amazon, can they be trusted to get a copy to me on Friday?

Nope.
Today 11th i received the game i pre-ordered from Ubisoft Uk. Im in Portugal.. so with noraml mail it took about 2 days to come to my house.

Yeah mine was shipped yesterday from Gameplay so it should be sat waiting for me when I get home tonight.... Now the real problem is EQ2 or Halo2.... Ah what a decision to have to make!! 8)

WoW open beta is not bad but EQ2 will beat it up and beat it up badly
If at least half of my wishes will become true, EQ2 is going to be the best game ever
Judging from the comments from those on the other side of the pond, this game is gonna be awesome. I know I normally can't wait to get out of work on a Friday but tomorrow is gonna be unbearable.

I got my pre order early because they shipped it on the 10th and a neighbour works in a "certain retailer" so instead of getting it in the post on the 12th i got it hand delivered on the 10th.
Problem is there is only 1 UK preffered server runneyeye it is always either on heavy load or full and this is before many europeans got their copy.
So i went oasis myself.Same downtime .
Get ready for seriuuos downtime in the game tho. And they are putting servers downtime 3am pacifi US time.. and 4 hrs downtime.. daily base. For us on GMT + 0 that means mid day which kinda sux.

Played in the beta for some time and the game has gradually improved both with reduced lag and increased content. I ordered my copy from Amazon (UK) so as not to pay the outrageous extra shipping and VAT charges). However the 'worldwide simultaneous release' still turned out ot be a week later in the UK. Ho hum.
I scheduled a days holiday to be in when our new tumbledrier was set to be delviered (happened to be the 12th when the release in UK was due hehe). Kept checking amazon and even this mornign it was still showing undispatched. SO i phoned the local stores....PC world were useless and eitehr told me they hadnt heard of it or couldnt get through to the local store. Game however did have it so i canceled amazon went down to game and got me a copy hurrah.
Half an hour or so to install and i looked at the forums while i waited. Eeek 4 hours downtime a day maintenance...When...yep from 12-4 and it was about 12:10.
Wll its not undxpected really SOny do this EVERY time. When will they ever really take notice of the players. The day they release in Europe and the servers are down......
