Can I Get in trouble?

Hey i recently felt like gettin back into Lotr online, So i started up my account again but before activating my account forgot to change my CC info (see my old card no longer exists) but for some reason turbine still charged my old card.So a waited a bit to see if i would get some kind of email saying Mr so and so your card is invalid..but nothing so i tried to long in and it worked i could play my account,and my question is can i get in trouble with turbine or am I just really stupid and not getting something?

Are you sure they've billed you? I don't get billed until the end of the month, so perhaps you haven't been billed.

O .but then does that mean that i can play till the end of the month and they cant charge me because the card no longer exists?
It means you will be able to play until they realize what happened, and then one of several things will happen:
1) They cancel your account until you pay your negative balance and another month's subscription (and possibly extra if they were charged a fee, which happens sometimes).
2) They ban your account.
3) They assume it's credit card fraud and report you.
I don't know how Turbine handles these kinds of things, but I've seen various companies do any or all of the above.
Also as someone else eluded to -- Turbine doesn't charge your card at activation -- it gets charged at a later date. I'd change your cc info before you run in to some problems. It is a bit odd though -- I thought that they at least checked that it was a valid card # when you entered but even though the charges don't go through until later. Guess not though. By no means are you *in the clear* on this though -- but I wouldn't say you are *in trouble* but Turbine does expect to get paid for your account
Apparently your card still does exist and is active somewhere....even though you havn't been charged yet, which is usually the case until end of billing period. When you entered your card, the system will still do a scan and make sure the card is active and has funds before it'd allow you access to play.
So its still out there and it will be charged since you say it let you play!
Still you'd better go change your card info to a correct one, cause regardless its still linked to you and like above poster said, you may get hit with additional fees and charges if Turbine don't get paid and get suspended or heck even banned for payment fraud...{ah who knows about the last one....hehe

Hey guys thanks for the anwsers I just log into my turbine account on the account managment website and got this message----
ATTENTION: One or more of your subscriptions has been suspended due to non-payment. Please re-enter your billing information or apply a Game Card now to reactivate your subscription(s). Once you have updated your billing information successfully, all of your suspended subscription(s) will be reactivated for use. Click here to update your billing information now.
So suspended means I cant use my account to play but Its not banned right?
Yeah, just enter a valid credit card.

Happened to me to except i never knew my card experied and got a notice saying that they were sorry for the inconvenience... but i did get a week or two for free
