I think Darkfall should be removed from the site.

We've seen mmorpgs come round like this time and time before using these horrible business practises that are just set out to scam the user base. We've seen this time and time again with games likr Dark N Light and Mourning and I really think these types of mmorpgs shouldn't be advertised on the site for more people to get scammed. I don't think it is very responsible for mmorpg.com to have it on the site and keep allowing them onto the site. You should do more research into each company and game to see if it is fit to be on here.
When this game is launched and what will happen and all the people complaining they were scammed out of money and how they can't even play and when they start getting billed even though they canceled.... you'll have wish'd you removed it.

all i ever ask of MMORPG.com is they give me the dev knowlege they receive, they are not better business bureau. I was about to try this game till i read your forum comments about the game. I thank you for that.
To accuss MMORPG.com of neglence is wrong though. they tell us what they know the rest is up to us gamers to help each other out.

Then wtf would all the trolls and drama queens cry, bitch, whine, and complain about? Like it or not, these forums, and specifically the Darkfall forums, are home to a very large amount of overly dramatic people who get off on being negative and bashing games more than talking about or even playing ones they like.
There is really not enough empirical evidence to support this.
Where Dark and Light had a Beta playerbase locekd behind an NDA who where trying to say that the game was not ready for release, the Beta players in Darkfall has broken the NDA to such extent as to make it almost nonexistent.
And the reports we are getting are quite another matter, pretty much everyone are ready to play the game, most people say there are tweaks to be done here and there, but that the game is playable as is.
Im not in the Beta so im not breaking any NDA saying this.

They can remove DF if they also remove every pointless PvE clone, that bring nothing new to the MMO genre. DF at least is trying to do something different and new. And we should embrace those things. Not reject it as we did with things in the Dark Ages.

Wow, I actually agrees with you this time.
This sit is about existing and upcomming MMOs. Taking away games that are in development is not a good thing. You will never know which game that will releasr or not before it is done, some games was almost finnished when they got cancelled like heroes of ancient Rome.
As for scams, it is hard to prove a game is a scam. I rather see the site reporting all games than cut of all indie games because you can't prove that they are not scams.
Besides you should never preorder a game you are unsure of, if you do that and the game is horrible it is your own friggin fault.

The site is a lot larger than you give it credit for, and just because you're a DF fan who hates to see his game roasted doesn't make it irrelevant.

Back to the OP, no one could ever accuse this site of favoring DF, nor of misleading people about the game or the company. More honesty in these forums than any other site out there, and if you can't find enough negatives about DF to sway your opinion here, you're not really looking.

i agree....MMORPG.com is in the top 5 of mmo sites, probably just behind sites like TTH.

I think darkfall was handled quite poorly by the devs, but I would be a fool not to admit it's still a game and a MMO.. So I still think it's valid to feature it on this site.

Its an MMO forum, it is not a fan site. We do not decide, oh we like this game, lets leave it, but we dont like another so lets take it away. If you dont like darkfall, dont use the forums, there are plenty of other things on this site to talk about. Its really that simple.

It not about like or dislike its about protecting users from cons and abuse. Mostly abuse but quite a large portion of con. These guys are conning people to pay for stress testing..the ..guys...from the forum are doing nothin but abuse users of our site. And it is OUR site, its a community and yes, we should have some kind of input into what stays/goes. I think a lot of people would rather it went tbh

This thread is retarded.. Darkfall is a mmorpg. One's opinion does not change that. Sure, you can't hate the game, hate the limited fubar'd release, and/or personally hate Tasos with every fiber of your body. But it doesn't change the fact that it is a currently released, still running MMO. If they ever shutdown the servers for good, I could see removing them from the site, but until then (which won't happen for a very long time, imo) you'll have to deal with this MMO, on this MMORPG forum.
*edit* I am a skeptic, always will be, but this game is not a scam.. not in the sense that mourning, and dnl, ended up ripping off the mmo community. I agree that they definitely rushed the release, "exaggerated" the truth to the public about their game, and are quite a bit over their heads in trying to run a LARGE mmorpg, but they HAVE been communicating with their fanbase recently, have said they're working on ironing out the account problems and such. I think we should be able to give them the benefit of the doubt, for now, that they are trying to work hard to fix their technical problems. If they shut down the servers, disappear, and fight any type of refunds, then DF would be a scam. Until then, it's just one of the numerous badly launched mmorpg titles that fans of the genre seem to be willing to put up with.
Some people need a psychiatrist, on this site there is the Dark and Light section, so why not Darkfall??
