I think the botters are preparing for Aion going by what I read in the Aion section here.
Also, 'legitimate' L2 players can easily try out Aion by using one of the multitude of guides around. You don't even need to be able to read Korean unless you want to know what's going on. I know a number of people that are doing this and have left L2 'early' so to speak.
Well the first person to hit the cap was a Chinese guy who couldn't speak Korean and just spend 20 hours a day grinding, he hit 45 in just over 3 weeks.
L2 is fairly fast too now, with the proper party setup you can get noble in a month, just like what happened on Luna.

Getting noble in a month while starting from scratch and not cheating?? LOL
You would need A LOT of help, notsleep, and you MIGHT be able to finally afford a top B or A grade set your second time through on subclass. Maybe if you botted 24-7 and had all top gear and shots waiting on you.
Yeah, leveling has gotten faster because of the vitality system, but you find yourself playing other toons once your vitality gets to a certain level. At least I do. Claims like this 1 month Nobless are insane. L2 is still the biggest grind out there.

ouch! it is not my old Lineage II.
I think his first statment is refering to Aion.
Like Skyrim? Need more content? Try my Skyrim mod "Godfred's Tomb."
Pretty sure there were heroes for July on Luna (server opened late May). Lvling up in Gracia is not the same as it was in the Chronicles or Interlude/CT. And as for gear, B grade is in the shop, which makes it easy to afford...and you should have an A grade shadow set by the time you are 75.
I been playing 3 years so I know how it use to be. As for leveling its only easier for people who dont play everyday but for people that play everyday they will not even see the effect of vitality becuase they will never have none. I like vitality because it allows me to play more than one character and still make good progress on them all since while playing one the other is recharging vitality.
RE: "Also, 'legitimate' L2 players can easily try out Aion by using one of the multitude of guides around."
I am newly come across L2, in my search for more info on Aion. I figured I would sub to L2 untill Aion releases, but it sounds like I may be able to sub to L2 *AND* play a little Aion?
Appreciate any help. L2 looks almost as good as Aion in the youtube footage. I play Vanguard now, but tire of the endless two step, patches to add and fix reintroduce killer bugs. Currently I cant play Vanguard more than a couple hours and my entire machines locks up.
Is there a pretty good crafting system in L2? Best class to solo?
Never mind, I googled and gooogled till I found a guide. Then noticed the obvious, the game is in a foreign (to me) character set and language....DUH .

So much for that idea.
if you are looking for a guide, you can use lineage2.com. They have some good advise there, also there are a multitude of fansites that have guides as well. They are linked to the official site. Everything there is in English, I am sure that you can find Euro languages as well as Japanese, Russian, Korean, and Chinese guides. But official site is in English.

Don't see where botters are going to get in Aion with a lvl cap that takes 1 month to hit, and gear to be gotten by PvP or raiding.
One month? Is that continuous play?
I thought I'd seen people complaining that it would take about as long as L2.
I'll probably have found the answer by the time you see this. Hehe

they are usually like that and have been for a long time. Don't worry.
I would imagine that you might see Bartz and Phoenix (hindemith/gustin) get to medium at high times.

Yea, there is no way you can become noble in 1 month of play.
