FYI.. new clases are NOT in this patch. Read the notes. Next week if you participate in a forced RvR. 2 weeks if you don't
Really blows too cause I wanted to level up in scenarios and that would really boost lower tier populations. My subscription dies in 7 days.....o well guess ill never know
ill just stick to PS neways only game worth playing atm

this game is well worth paying for. Keep playing for the live event, it spices up the gameplay and gets people really involved in pvp.
Is it not a T4 only live event? I am only lvl 18....grinding it out alone is getting painful lol
I doubt it. I've been in 2 other live events so far which have encompassed all tiers. Most events just scale any special rewards to fit your tier. Exluding t1-t3 would be a bad move by mythic.
I see game has a ton added/fixed etc , any thoughts from those who are currently playing ?
It's too soon to tell... at least for me. the most important change in this patch for me is the Domination System. I have my hopes it will force to defend and it will bring more strategy to the ORvR.
As for the first impression, it seems they did work in several of the problems we had been reporting and I like most of what they did.
Well part of the live event involves participation in ORvR so its pretty packed at the moment. This scenario is only temporary as well like the previous Factory one.
Its ok, nothing to jump up and down about, while they fixed some things a whole lot of new bugs have popped up, some skills now do not work and crashing to desktop is at an all time high for some. My game time runs out on the 9th of this month and i have decided to find something else to play.
On the plus side the orvr zones are full of action. Lots of folks to fight.
Warhammer is an ok game but its not really clicking for me.
They've added a lot of things with the patch - some big, and some small.
The most important in my opinion is the addition of the zone domination system. I can't speak for the other tiers, but the T4 zones were a bloodbath on my server this evening. The fighting wasn't limited to keeps, but was found all over, including the BO's and open field, and it was pretty much continual for the 7 hours I played (finishing at 2:30 AM after the WB took everything in Caledor). For me, it was definitely one of the best nights of oRvR I've had in the game.
Many of the other things smooth the game out, and make it more user friendly. There are a few bugs and errors as well, but they don't seem to break major portions of the game, at least not so far.

What bugs and which patch? I have never crashed into my desktop nor have I heard of anyone doing so. It jus means ur PC can't handle the game or its installed wrong.
Re-install ur game.
But like many others I am also just waiting to see if this last patch makes the game a little more interesting.
Alot of the stuff you do at end-game/T4 is just rinse and repeat, meaning u do the same things day in and day out. Aside from PvE, its a prob for PvP to be like that...
* A brand-new Tier 4 Scenario called the Twisting Tower. Much like the Reikland Factory during the Heavy Metal event, this is a limited-term engagement. Make sure you check it out while the event is up and running.
* All-new systems are being put into place for Open RvR! A "Rallying Cry" will draw players to conflicts in the first two tiers, while a new Zone Control Domination system will give players incentives to truly conquer those zones.
* Itemization has been revamped across the board, with dungeons, fortresses, and PQs all recieving tweaks and reconsideration.
* "Easy-mode" Public Quests are being added throughout the 2-4 tiers, allowing solo players and small groups to get that sweet PvE loot without having to grind Stage 1.
* Crafting is being given a significant overhaul. All the 'gathering' skills are now extraordinarily streamlined, and the 'creation' skills are now definitively associated with two gathering skills.
Beyond the above there are numerous changes to classes, user interface improvements, brand new mounts, and an army's worth of bug fixes
1.2 is so awesome, it made me cancel my sub today. - lol
Don't get me wrong, I had a lot of fun playing the game, (love Warhammer/lore table top games since high school) but the lag, game freezing, glitching, bugging out, crashing the desktop...etc... you get the picture, was the straw that broke the camel's back. I'm not throwing away any more money in hopes of Mythic fixing this gigantic bug... its been ~ six months and if they haven't smoothed it out yet, I doubt they ever will. props to you that have the patience for the "one year rule".
By that time I'll probably be playing Aion or Square's new mmo. I played ffxi for nearly 6 years and when I compare WAR to it, its like comparing a Lexus to a Geo Metro.
Maybe in a few years when technology gets better, someone can make a mmo that was designed to handle battles/fights/ (even a scenario skirmish) of this gigantic magnitude.

I don't think it requires that much patience, at least for me, because I haven't experienced the problems you describe. Sorry to hear that you have.
Patch 1.2 in my opinion has generally been very positive, primarily because the new Zone Domination system made oRvR, which was already the most engaged in activity, even more engaging as fighting now occurs more frequently, and happens all over the battlefield much more often. I just finished fighting as a part of a full WB, against a full Order WB, primarily over BO's in Caledor, and this during off-peak time on a medium pop server. Very fun indeed.
With all the little things they also added (i.e. multiple item mail, new mounts, better WB managment, improved map, streamlining of the crafting system, career balancing, etc), I think the overall experience is better than before.

Thats sad because since I resubbed a few days ago I have had no issues with the game at all. I have an AMD 64x2 dual core with 2 gigs of ram and a Radeon HD 4670 512mb card and it works just fine.
For me, it's good. For others, they're having issues, but let's face it. With every 5 bugs you fix, you inadvertantly create 2 or 3 more because there are just so many different factors that go into how the code will translate into performance on peoples' computers. Overall I haven't had one CTD, except one caused by Dammaz Kron but that's an addon, and my FPS has overall been better. Keep contribution was bugged buy they've already hotfixed that. Twisting Tower is a cool scenario and I like some of the new skins on the items.
So, yeah. Overall they made more a step forward than backwards. New forums help too, so that they can directly see what kind of problems people are having (too bad most of the population doesn't realize that posting your comp. specs certainly helps with a comp. problem!)
The mind boggling thing is that this computer runs CoD4, Oblivion, WoW, FFXI, and other games that are just as demanding as WAR just fine, smooth as buttah. But for some reason it just does not like WAR... lol...
I have a g15 keyboard and my CPU stat is always pinging from 90%- 100% , and the RAM is ~ 50~75%ish on a good day jumping to around 80% -90% on bad days.
I'm no computer genius, since this gaming PC is my brothers, but I'm just using it while he finishes his tech school since he joined the Air Force. He built it, and it's a pretty nice machine...(seems like its getting obselete quick though, damn computers) just don't know why it hates WAR so much???

servers are still down i think
Correct.
Log in also seems to be broken, so who knows?
Servers still down. Can't wait to check out the new classes.

new scenario is okay, all the fixes are pretty nice
Population has gone up, 4 High/Full servers tonight, rest med/med
New scenarios? This sucks, scenarios kill the RVR in that game!

Almost every area of the game is affected by 1.2,
including combat and careers, crafting, itemization, quests and public quests, items, realm vs. realm, and the user interface.
