The mind boggling thing is that this computer runs CoD4, Oblivion, WoW, FFXI, and other games that are just as demanding as WAR just fine, smooth as buttah. But for some reason it just does not like WAR... lol... I have a g15 keyboard and my CPU stat is always pinging from 90%- 100% , and the RAM is ~ 50~75%ish on a good day jumping to around 80% -90% on bad days. I'm no computer genius, since this gaming PC is my brothers, but I'm just using it while he finishes his tech school since he joined the Air Force. He built it, and it's a pretty nice machine...(seems like its getting obselete quick though, damn computers) just don't know why it hates WAR so much???
CPU is kinda slow especially for the AMD quad line, video card would play the most into how well the game runs though. Funny how you don't mention what video card you have, all you have to do to check is goto display options :P.
I have not played WAR in a few month's, but plan on coming back as soon as my Eve sub expires in about 2 weeks(not going to pay for 3 mmo's). This new update sparked my interest finally, been waiting for the zone system to be fixed!
Two things in thist thread make me laugh..first... WoW as demanding as WAR LMAO wow is over 4 years old and some of the LOWEST requirements in the industry...look it up not hard to figure it out. AAAAND... FFXI compared to WAR? jeez just looking at FFs horrbile grainy graphics gave me a headache...ugh..terrible.
a 7950 i wouldnt think is enough to run this game, i have a amd single 2.5ghz and 2g ddr1 ram with a nvidia 7600 ( I know, I know) that can run wow and or ffxi as i've played them boh but my pc can no where near handle warhammer and the description of whats happening to you when you play the game is exactly what happens to me when I try to play.
I have however bought the game and when my new pc is finished being built- pentium I7 920- 3g triple channel ddr3(1333 speed i believe) and a 4870 hd 1g- I will activate my account for 1 month to try this game and I have a feeling it will run really well, I mean, I have seen to many people say that it runs fine with an up to date system to think that it will not- they are not all in cahoots to lie about warhammer to us.. at least I dont think they are. Anyway, I will give it my real opinion after my new pc arrives- but I do believe that even the box specs for this are way to low and I know thats just (minimal) but the game doesnt really run with those specs at all, unless you like crashes and lag alot.

Dont ever try to play a game with a system that only just reaches the min requirements. If you do you will always feel cheated.
Well I logged into WAR for the first time in a few months due to the new patches and this new one in particular.
I started off making a new character, now last time I was in the starting areas I was usually on my own, damn did I get a surprise, there must have been about a dozen other new characters in the zone with me, haven't seen those kind of numbers since the game went live.
The patch must have either got old players interested again like me or the free trial is already having an impact with ppl giving the game a shot, whatever the reason it is very nice to have ppl in the new zones again.
I came back to WAR as well, to try the new patch features and i didnt regret it so far. World is populated enough and game seems more balanced and more interesting compared to launch.

To answer your question......the update did not make the game any less boring than it already is.
Still a non consequence non challenging waste of time and money.
