Anyway, Apples aren't really focused as gaming machines. Macs are usually a LOT more expensive, and compared to a gaming rig that's a PC, it's a rip off(for what you get). From what I know, Macs are mainly good for photo editing/video editing.
Besides, if you really want to play MMORPGs on your mac, why don't you just run Windows on it? And if you really want to play MMORPGs, why did you buy a Mac in the first place?
No one ever said they are immune to viruses and spyware-but chances are greatly slimmer than on a windows PC.
Most people who don't have viruses/spyware on their windows PC have to use a whole program which is usually a system hog that runs in the background.
I'm not a PC hater-I have both, I use a windows pc desktop but use an Apple for a laptop.
"It's pretty easy not to get a virus, it's called common sense." -Hah that's exactly what I thought until the day some spyware came and nipped me right in my a@@. There will be one day when you slip up just wait.
Windows PC without any firewalls/antivirus/antispyware on nowadays is like a Quarterback with no linemen.
Mac without any other programs is like a QB with a full line out of the box. And if you want more linemen you can get em to be extra secure.

I have built and run my own computers for around sixteen or seventeen years now. I have never had any resident anti-virus programs installed on my systems and I have never had a virus. Nor do I run resident anti-spyware.

Then again, I don't just click every damn button I see, open every e-mail attachment I receive regardless of whether I know the sender or not, use P2P file-sharing software or install any old damn thing off the web or on a CD or disk because I think it will be "cool".

Now; I have cleaned up many, many computers that did have viruses; and when I traced the root of the problem back, it nearly always ended up being one of the above sources. So for those who just can't seem to get through the day without clicking that blinking button or using that file share program just so they can download a movie, I always recommend resident anti-virus and anti-spyware.

What gets me is that someone will install a program that gives hundreds or thousands of people access to a portion of their HDD just so they can download a movie or some music for free, while apparently not considering the fact that they could potentially cost themselves hundreds of dollars replacing hardware and/or software that becomes infected as a result of their use of P2P programs.

Save yourself some money and spend the $14 to buy the DVD, rather than the $95 to $200 for a new HDD. Or worse; to replace all of your credit cards and restore your stolen identity.

One reason Blizzard is so succesful is that they made WoW playable on Mac's-opens a whole new door and a whole lot more sub's. Seeing that WoW box in Apple Stores helps a lot-those stores are usually crowded out the door everyday! Not to mention, while running a game on mac means no spyware no viruses running in the background like most windows pc's have whether you know it or not. I don't play WoW so there really are no mmorpgs for me on my mac :(

You might be able to find some good ones here: mmomac.com

At its core the MacOS is essentially a unix system. When someone says its immune to viruses they have no idea.

Ok, back to the topic. While it is true that not many an MMO decide to release for the mac as well, you can skilfully run -most- of them through an emulation of windows.

Guys there is no need to argue Mac vs PC (we have seen it before). They are good a different things and they are both needed.
