I am tired of games like WOW and FLYFF. I really like neocron...but nobody plays it. I am excited about the new Face of Mankind release because I hear it is gonna be like a populated neocron with an actual community. Can anyone help me find what I am looking for? I hope I am not being to vague.

Unique gameplay? Non fantasy based? etc
Atlantica online currently playing is turn based F2P MMO (9 members) with good graphics. Its guild cities and combat system is quite unique compared to other Korean MMOs and the game itself is set on earth (run into historical figures like Caesar or present).
yeh atlantica online is different, but the game is full grind, nothing else to do there, eaven crafting = grind
yes u can do free league (pking competition) but only few ppl go there so u keep fighting same ppl
yes its free game, and u know what free game means- ppl who pay mad cash will pretty much win u in game
dont say pvp balances it out, not really if u are against sum1 with +10 gears(cash shop items to make enhancing easier)
they just had update that sux for ppl that are below lvl 96, because it made all market prices rise, and if u dont wanna waste ur real money on it, i wouldnt suggest u start playing it now
i have lvl 111 account and i really dont feel like playing anymore

i see have not played it that much have only lv 55, from what i heard guildes say the change they made is better for the market. I remember Eve had it share of issues like that when i was playing it couple months after release, Free market ftw. Anyway as for the game it is one of few F2P MMOs i can actually stand playing and the community seem fairly helpful similar to Lotro and much better than WoW.

seems it will be awefully hard for you to find such a original game.
The game designed today is somewhat imitate wow to different extent
You may like Planetside if you liked necron, 100% PvP MMOFPS, its about 6 years old now though.
probaly find about 500 people online at at given time, fights are stil rather large, levels effect versitily not stats so you can effectivly compete with a level 25 at rank1, if you got the skills. although at level 1 it might be hard since you would know nothing about the game...but anyway.

If all you want is a game totally different from everything you've ever played, try A Tale in the Desert. And then you can step back and say, whoa, I didn't want something /that/ different. Or maybe you did.
