What does an MMO mean to you

When you hear the word MMO, what does it mean to you?
Me personaly think of Players Killing or trading with each other or at least interacting in some way as part of the game, be it solo, in a team or part of a Guild.
Some MMO's I come accros, if you was able to turn your internet connection off the game content would not change, some are just a grind with a Chat window, this in my eyes is not an MMO. There are many games listed in this web site that fit with in this group and in my eyes should not be classed as an MMO.

An MMO to me is a place where me and others with the same 'intrest' can all meet up and do our 'thing' I personally love the trading, crafting side. I love the fact a game can have its own living economy. I love having people there to chat with and if the going gets tough have someone to come help me. I stopped playing single player games about 6 months ago, I just can't get into a game unless there are people there with me lol
