All last week I spent mon-fri at 2pm trying to buy this game but never even seeing a buy button. Come friday afternoon I am informed my account is just messed up and id have to make a new one to save billing info to. Well after doing that and waiting the weekend here I am again looking for buy. This time I actually successfully buy the game within 10 minutes of trying. I prob coulda had this on monday if I just knew. Goodluck to you all!

one would hope that as the days role on, more and more people being invited into the game, that it will get easier and easier to obtain an account. Todays 10 min mad rush and server slamming shows we still have a ways to go tho.

i'm not claiming to be a mathematician here...

5500-6000 players ingame.  every weekday new player accounts sold, "in the 4-digits"... assuming tasos isn't doing his normal stupidity and the 4-digits isn't something like 0010 accounts sold, and it's AT LEAST 1,000 account per day sold...

that gives you 4 days before the max amount on the server has been sold.  it's been at least 6 days?  so that's 12k people on a 10k server.  with the way people are foaming to play, shouldn't the server be maxed constantly?

does anyone know what the average amount of players, during prime time, has been for this weeked thru today?

is it still only one server?

could we please get correspondent writers and moderators, on the eve forum at mmorpg.com, who are well-versed on eve-online and aren't just passersby pushing buttons? pretty please?

You ask too many complicated questions. Keep it simple like, "iz darkfallz teh bestest game eva?" Or "I haz teh darkfallz! Do joo c lots of peoplz online when joo playz!"

Damian, no one has ever known the amount of players logged on at the same time. IF the world can even support 10k players simultaneously, they would sell much more than that for the server as most people aren't logged on at the same time. It's an international "release", after all.

I believe I read on the Darkfall forums that they are allowing for 50K accounts on the server but that they expect to see 10k online at once at any given time, if thats true they I would like to account share with 1 of the other 40k accounts that are sitting idle please =).

over the past couple of weeks, i've read numerous times (on both this forum and the official forum) of X amount of people logged on...

every last one of those posters was full of turds and made up numbers?

international, sorta like that game i play, eve online?   i've got that down.  i stated something along the lines of "people foaming" and i've read posts of folks playing 16 hours a day and such.

which is why i'm asking these questions... the game should be to the point of queuing to log in (again, like it was the first few days).

could we please get correspondent writers and moderators, on the eve forum at mmorpg.com, who are well-versed on eve-online and aren't just passersby pushing buttons? pretty please?

i truly hope that isn't true... if it is, that is a horrid idea for a game just released.... even if they are deliberately going thru and only allowing X accounts per Y timezone; you have to account for people on midnight/graveyard shifts, with no jobs, no life, etc who will be playing at times outside of their time zone's primetime.

500% accounts vs anticipated capacity during the first month of release?  oy.

Eventually server must be full and when second server comes maybe its easyer but maybe not its posible it slow down and more easy to buy when they start with 3 or 4th server?

    Games played:AC1-Darktide'99-2000-AC2-Darktide/dawnsong2003-2005,Lineage2-2005-2006 and now Darkfall-2009.....
In between WoW few months AoC few months and some f2p also all very short few weeks.

It's just what I've been picking up on on the official forums, but I know what you mean, if the server is truly optimised for a 10k concurrent population what happens if another 20k of the overall 50k logs on? does the server suddenly go "POOF" or is this all factored in? I've no idea becuase all I seem to read is heresay, nothing solid from Aventurine that I've seen.

this does pose problems in the early life of an MMO, everyone is so ready to play that they play longer and more often then normal. If they are planning on letting eu-1 being the only server till 40k+ people are subbed, we probably will see crashing issues. The only upside is a second server is in the works (release unknown) but more importantly the server has gone over the 10k limit at once allready and held up. As some people said this game is kinda like in paid stress test, but atleast their servers can handle the load so far. (no server crashes have been reported as of yet.)

Protip: If someone does NOT list at least one positive and one negative about the game they are critiquing, its best to ignore the post.
