I know a few people here dont like topics about politics, but this is the only forum where i see eve politics intelligently discussed. Sure there is the CAOD, but every single thread in that forum has no meaning or discussion without 4 pages of off topic shit.
Now i was thinking, do people even like goonswarm? I mean they are griefers, scammers, and trolls. I always figured that all the smaller/medium corps were kind of riding on Goonswarm's numbers to take down BoB. Also now that goonswarm owns most of delve, they have alot of owned space, which i could see them being spread out which gives goon's allies a good time to strike. I am a newer player so i dunno how much BoB has smack talked to earn their much hated reputation, but as a newer player, i see this whole predicament as trading 1 big cheating evil corporation for 1 big loud mouth evil corporation. Is goonswarm any different in-game or do their forum posts reflect their .... intelligence? Would just like to hear other people's predictions.
Also i said "Once/if Kenzoku goes away" to make sure people know i'm not saying kenzoku is gone. I wonder if they will make a comeback or quit from being demoralized.
EDIT: fixed a couple typos, its late here.....

Without opposition, Goonswarm will probably lose their drive at some point - They have kind of 'won the game' if no opposition surfaces. They may try to create opposition from their existing allies in order to prolonge the process, or people might ally with Kenzoku in order to create again 2 equal factions.
If both leave or get small enough because of the present situation, new alliances will probably surface in order to fii the void. THree or four equal powers with enough differences not to create two superfactions would probably be the longest living and most interesting situation in EVE.
I'm just theorycrafting on my previous experience on PvP/faction games and I might be completely wrong on EvE, I game I've only tried in beta. So read this with a huge grain of salt

I have no affiliation with GS, but I gotta agree with an argument made by some of their members on other forums on eve-o other than CAOD.
GS is basically an alliance that anyone with membership to SA.com can get into. That's their only requirement for recruitment. And, they do not have any restrictions on forum posting, pirating, local chat, etc. like some of the other alliances. And, lastly, they do not kick anyone based on his/her actions as long as s/he does not scam GS + is member of SA.com. What does this entail? You shouldn't judge all of GS based on maybe 100 or so trolls on CAOD. It's an alliance with 5K people in it. There are bad apples everywhere. Just because 100 out of 5K are trolls does not mean all of GS is made up of trolls.
Having said that I think GS makes the game fun. It doesn't mean I wouldn't fight them, but I think they make the political scenery in EVE more fun. I can't say the same about BoB due to their snob attitude: "We are better than you", "Evolution", naming titans "Darwin's awards"(and then losing it 4 times), their constant damage control on forums.....In short, they take the game far too seriously for my taste as an outside observer, and I find that not so sympathetic. On the other hand, GS, with their rifter fleets, silly memes, looks like they are playing the game for laughs, and I find that more appealing.
goonswarm: the griefer guild that you have to pay rl money to get into.
i personally cant stand them and hope that they all leave eve, it would make the game so much better and CAOD might become readable. in the meantime if you want to talk politics and war, i suggest www.scrapheap-challenge.com
you'll find that the goonies and friends will be resetting each other soon due to boredom and now that goonies are the big bad force, we may see a rival powerblock emerge to counter them.
bob ws the guild you got to go to bbqs with. and have devs cheat for you and help you grow your titan accounts. and who did all the bad things to others first... anything you can blame on goons -- odds are bob did it first.
but, how soon we forget why so many people are so willing to turn against bob, eh?
could we please get correspondent writers and moderators, on the eve forum at mmorpg.com, who are well-versed on eve-online and aren't just passersby pushing buttons? pretty please?
Anyone else, besides me, think the demise of BOB may have been planned by BOB and CCP. Maybe since CCP was helping them cheat and stuff they deciced they would disband them and keep a low profile for a while so people might forget.
the next END boss is AAA
dont think delve= end boss in eve

It will be interesting to see what antics the goons get up to, the majority of the goons allies will settle down to a massive nap fest care bearing session and hit the belts confident they have no threats to their sov because everyone for 8 regions around is blue. The goons on the other hand will probably secure the immediate area then start looking for mischief, perhaps they might curb stomp a few smaller alliances like they did with Smashkill.
Say what you want about the goonies they are committed pvpers and they do bring it so it will be fun to see what they get up to next.

The goons are somewhat entertaining, but I really don't care for the constant barrage of trolling and scamming, and like someone said before, you have to pay RL money to be allowed in, which is really gay. Anyway, I think they're generally more well liked than Ken, which has it's benefits. That said, Goonswarm now sits on the most valuable real estate in the EVE universe. Goonswarm is, wthout a doubt, much less powerful than BoB was at it's peak; BoB was invincible, GS is not. Every alliance in EVE has been salivating over the prospect of owning Delve since the game began, and now Delve is more susceptible than ever - GS has never been accused of being a good PvP alliance.
I predict the NC will turn on GS, probably under the guise that they weren't given a big enough piece of Delve.
If any conspiracy theory about the Bob breakup were to be likely I would imagine that it was to generate interest before Apocrypha goes live. There have been articles about it on quite a few gaming sites as well as a mention on the BBC technology website.
However I think it just "is what it is"
"I don't mind if you don't swallow as long as you don't chew"
CAOD will never be readable.
Speaking as someone who has moderated GBBS, it's not much better. Better than it was, no doubt, but there's still political bias there which cannot be fixed. It's very hard to get a truly neutral view of all the conflicts in Eve, purely because everyone has some form of political bias, whether they like to admit it or not.
Word on the wire is that PL will be resetting people when Kenny are dead. They've done it before, and Goons have got exceptionally pissy about it. Should be interesting to see it again.
Still love Haargoth though.
No, I don''t care about your opinion.
