Questions on Abilities

Hey all..

 I have 2 questions about abilties I am hoping someone can answer...

 

1)  What does the con of the ability mean?  I'm a level 13 Predator now and my "Dirty Tricks" ability is now grey.  I don't really understand this since I upgraded it to "Apprentice III" and it's still grey.  What does the con color of the abilities actually mean?  Is there anyway to "fix" this?

 

2)  It appears if you have the silver, you can purchase and "scribe" Apprentice III skills as soon as you enter Qeynos/Freeport.  Is there any benefit/penalty to scribing Apprentice III's right away?  Can someone explain how you know when it's a good time to scribe these?

    I think the con just means that the ability/spell is low level. Even with higher ranks, the spell isn't going to be as effective as some of your newer abilities/spells. You can still use it, it will just be resisted easier than newer spells/abilities, and may not do as much damage. Some people like to use old spells/abilities, but some see that as pointless. Do what works best for you.

    I am not sure on the answer to second question.
