Well I have been out of the whole DAoC scene for 5 months. I am actually thinking about returning just for kicks and to relieve the good times I have had in it. Has frontiers been patched and on the more crowded servers [lancelot and Merlin], are there more people RVRing? Should I return?
Trollers will get the boot because I support all troll killing in my threads. If you say "no" tell me why.

I am not an RvR'er, so I can't answer your question directly. I can say that there have been some changes to RvR that seem to make it better for some classes and worse for others. Tanks, for instance, seem to have gone from being the first line defense to the last line defense of a keep. Casters and archers are the first line defense - only after the doors are down do the tanks come into play. However, isn't this MORE realistic?
The status of the war map now reflects more in the rest of the world, with experience and money bonuses on PvE kills. They've just extended RRs to 12.
I would say that it's worth a month's subscription to find out if you like the changes to the system. There have been many.
