UK can't play we have to wait for Acclaim to release the game. The Developers of the "European" TCOS are stupid and IP block MOST of Europe because they consider us to be USA for some reason.

Yeah its normal, UK's can play in european servers, Uk and a lot of euro countries must wait for Acclaim's servers to come up.

I know it sounds weirdm but its true.

once acclaims closed beta ends, all IP blocks will be lifted and youll be able to choose where to play. no doubt acclaims closed beta will now drag on forever, but there you go.

you could try getting into CB through the acclaim site by keeping an eye on the forums for any key giveaways. theyre looking to slowly fill it up over the next few weeks so you should have plenty of chances to get in,as only those who bother to look for the open spots will get them as acclaim dosnt believe in advertising or letting the fan base know much at all :S 100 keys were given away over the weekend but from what I know there were no announcements.

Any news when it does come to uk

whenever acclaim finish the closed beta,so...who knows?but after that youll have 3 publishers to choose from.

Yeah, that's about right. Why do they even need a closed beta when the bloody thing is released elsewhere?

Yes, I'd like to play this game but I'm not going to waste my time trying for spots in a half-cooked, half-empty beta version of the thing.

Most people seem to be getting really tired of this dog and pony show - way to kill a game before it's even out boys.

To test the server stability on their hardware configuration. Test their launcher. Test their billing system. Test their support system. Test their network, load balancers, etc. Train their GM's. There are a lot of little details involved in it.

Yeah, OK, point taken I suppose, but I still think they're doing a rubbish job of keeping the potential player base in the loop on this one...

Edit: Actually, now that I've thought about this, no, I don't accept that quite so readily. It seems to me that the wheel is being reinvented somewhat here, If you've already tested a game and released it commercially in a number of regions, then why do you have to carry out more tests on server capability and billing systems. Don't your findings from the regions where you've launched your game carry over into the new countries. If Toyota launches a car in Japan, they don't carry out new stress tests and road trials for their UK launch, they just switch the steering wheel onto the other side and start producing the car. Why can't we have this game on the same basis as those regions that are already playing?

That said, I don't suppose that the developers are delaying the thing for the good of their health. There probably are reasons, it's just that they haven't bothered to keep us informed, and that's the nub of my complaint. We are the paying public who will decide whether the thing stands or falls and you need to treat us accordingly.
