4 Character slots really that bad ??

in Everquest II

ok, at first I was a little pissed at how they were only offering 4 character slots. But after playing eq2 I realize the depth, and the time you will be putting into just one character.... I play as much as I can and I am only level 16 lol :) but just the sheer amount of quests you have to do just not to be gimp for your level.... are amazing... The quests are really awesome... but if I had to do them again honestly it would suck. In this game you really cant twink like you can in Everquest1, so if you people out there are sketch about eq2 because you like twinking out alts, then forget it, you cant...Honestly if you have enough time to level up more then 4 alts you need to re-evaluate your life lol...

 

I have already done more quests and such then I did in eq live with a lvl 68 necro lol :)  and my guy is only level 16 :)    eq2 is TIME CONSUMING AND ADDICTIVE !!!!! time flies, and if most people are like me, they havnt even thought about starting and alt yet :)

    Heh, it will take some time to get level 50. It seems to me like the higher level you get, the slower the EXP gets. ::::34::
    As long as they keep it fun, it really doesn't matter.

    I agree. I usually like to have a lot of alts, but this game takes too much attention to my main to even think about my alts.

    One or two mains, one alt and an open mule/messenger works fine for me. Plus this stops the dumb arseholes who name-reserve on every server even though they have no intention of playing there. God I hate that.

      My 4 slots are already full and there are a lot of other things I would like to try.  I consider MMORPG's long term games (2.5 years in UO, 4 years in EQ and 1.5 in AO),  I am not the type to max my characters but usually play them to mid-high levels. 

      4 slots cramps the heck out of my playing style and the day I leave EQ 2, that will probably be the reason.  Of course in the first 6 months, I can live with 4 slots.....

    Yes in fact... just imagine how involved the higher level, epic like quests can get, maybe you never played eq1, but these are just the newbie quests ive done mate.... i think i have a strong basis here :)

    I do think 4 is a problem.  I usually play one main, and just one or two alts, but space is so limited I have all slots filled on two accounts with banker characters.  The crafting and adventuring are both intense and I love it, but space is ridiculously hard to come by especially for those who also craft.  I wish they would have given 8 character slots per account (not per server like in EQ Live), but still more would have been nice.  I guess they want people to do what I did and buy 2 . . . more money for them.  I did it primarily to be able to run a merchant while still adventuring, but the space has been a necessity.
