Have a Pent 3.2, nvidea FX5200 (128megs) and one gig of ram. What 256 card should I buy, and do you think uping to 2 gigs of ram will help? (I am anyway but was curious)
Haven't bought the game yet but (This is Sat. night) will buy hardware come Mon. then go get the game. Please drop me a quick note at kram59@hotmail.com for tips. thanks all

the 6800GT hands down, is the best card you get with the best bang for yer' buck. Im really not sure about the RAM, i have 1 gig and so far its suited me just fine, i get 91.4 FPS in doom 3 at high quality 1024z768
Performance and money value the 6800GT is king or you could hang out for a few months when the next generation cards come out and buy it cheaper or use that same money and get the next next generation.
All depends on how much you wanna upgade that FX5200 will run the game on high performance or near it fine but if you want eye candy right now then go with the 6800GT however the extreme setting will require the next generation card to run smoothly so you could be patient and pick the next gen for same price in 3-4 months time or even pick the 6800GT for a cheaper price then.
Choice is yours.
I have a R9800pro which servers me great at mid to high quality setting so i am hanging out till next generation cards so i can see extreme setting if crowds and combat.

Hi,
i play on RX800XT PE and the game is absloutely without lags (of course except those due to network troubles). The game is good even on my friend's GF5800 but a bit slower due to 128bit memory interface.
So my advice get something like RX800 or GF6800GT put some kick ass detals on and uprgrade your RAM to 2Gigs, cause EQ2 is mainly memory eater, especially in towns (plus your zoning will be much faster).
Enjoy it

Nforce is the chip that is used by motherboards, Nforce 4 happens to be the newest model. I dont remember the name of the chip for the new Geforce cards though, i think its NV40 or sometihng like that.
