If your enjoying WAR why not just stick with that??
You also apparently don't have the ability to use google but feel it neccesary to post your random (note: useless) thoughts on a forum.
FPS is better
Client doesn't crash "for me"
Content is fufilling.
Players are aplenty
Sieges are a must
Loads of fixes/nerfs/OPclasses.
Patch 1.0.5 coming out to fix class ballance/itemization.
Dx10 getting closer to live.
More lvl 80 content coming out without Xpack.
PvE is interesting and not 5hrs long.
Honestly i think Funcom is working harder then ever to do this game right.
They have fixed a lot of technical problems but the game is still the same. Just a little bit of copy-paste content, nothing more.
If you play and like WAR there is no reason to switch to AoC.
Agree with the above but for me its the:
1st: performance change. I use to get CTD's about 1-2 an hour. Now zero crashes and my FPS are around 40-75 and I playon high settings.
2nd: Mass amount of content has been added and even today I found 5-6 new missions just in the wild. Plus a load at level 80. Old content polished as well
3rd: Population is healthy on my server. In fact its busy in most places plus chat is non stop and I like that about the game. I find other MMO's too quiet.
4th: Loads of balancing and there is the introduction of PvP games, PvP XP, Gear etc. Now you can loot material for keeps off bodies. So gathering can be pretty dangerous and rewarding now.
5th: Not been in sieges still but my guild and others are always in them and the word is they are a load of fun and pretty stable.
Other areas of improvement is the combat mechanics. They reduced the key strokes for combos etc.
Either way Funcom are pushing out improvements and content at an impressive level

When I read your comments it's like you and I play two different games.
Are you sure this is Age of Conan you are talking about? Or are you just some fan who had been following AoC since 1999 and went crazy after that initial bad launch, now playing your "dream AoC" inside your own head?
Lol "sieges are a load of fun and pretty stable.." HAHAHAAA

When I read his comment, I see a description of the game that I recognize, and I've played this game since launch and beyond. When I read your comments I see nothing but lies.
Honestly, if you still like WoW, I mean War, then you should just keep playing it. Why would you want to try something else when you have already found a game you like to play?
But that beeing said, AoC has totally made a turnaround, and you might want to check it out sometime.
It is preferable not to travel with a dead man.
But that beeing said, AoC has totally made a turnaround, and you might want to check it out sometime.
I would't say they have "totally made a turnaround". They have fixed most of the bugs, that's it.
But bugs were NOT the reason all those famous big pvp quit Age of Conan and went to WAR. Have you seen those guilds coming back? No? You know why that is? It's because they didn't find the game worthy of investing their time.
Unless Funcom adds something big like new fun endgame content, these guilds are never coming back.

3 working Tier 1 raids
Tier 2 BRC wing 1, 2 and 3 (wing 3 is new)
Sieging (which has been improved by bounds and leaps since launch)
PVP XP system (new since launch)
Pvp resources (new since launch)
4 lvl 80 group dungeons (1 new since launch)
1 lvl 80 solo instance (new since launch)
crafting that actually works and brings useful endgame items (armours, weapons and alchemy) Gems will be sorted in next patch. Lots of recipies added since launch.
So there is no new things to do at end game?

I didn't say there are no new things to do at endgame. Sure there are. Only problem is that those new things either..
A) Can be done in one night
Are boring
I was talking about PvP and those things you listed, only one of them has any interest to PvP players: the PvP XP system. But as we've seen it was not as interesting as it sounded on paper. There are many posts on official forums by players asking Funcom to do something about the PvP XP system or even complitely remove it. Some people like it, some hate it. It seems to go 50/50.
You also mentioned sieging. Sure it has improved since launch but did you play it at launch? Lol it was just horrible . And all those "improvements" you talk about are just bug fixes. Sieges are still the same they were at day one.
Proof is in the numbers. Age of Conan has less than 100k subs and is #46 on Xfire . what does that tell you?

What it tells me? It tells me nothing at all of relevance or importancy. I tell you there is a lot of new things to do at engame, and list up those things (fact). You tell me you can complete BRC wing 3, Xibalauko, The slaugterhouse, PVP level 5 and craft all those items in one night (can you be more wrong?) and it would be boring (your opinion)...

Again you completely disregard anything positive said, even tho it has been pointed out bay many posters, even 2 in a row, i agree with them, i think they still need more work, but the game has had a huge change in most of the areas that were not up to par or weren't complete.
You keep posting as if your opinion was law and accounted for all the rest, people left cause of bugs, content gaps, one shots, incomplete features... and many others, and most of those have been addressed.
Well Age of conan is much better now.
For exampel, Pretty much all bugs are gone, Performence is really good, they added tons of new content = PVP-lvls, pvp-gear, pvp-system, pvp-resources, added many new quests, revamped dungeons, added new items, revamped proffesions, added a new zone Ymir's pass lvl 55-65, last patch added new high end content = Wing 3 (raid), Xibaluku (group), slaughterhouse cellar (solo) all lvl 80 dungeons and also lvl 43 cradle of decay, etc
I would definitely recommend you to resub and give it another try

same here, all i can read from that guys posts are: lol hahahah hohohoh heheheh lol rofl and useless flamings
but still hes got a point whwn he said: "its like we are playing diffrent games"
anyways OT,
the game has came a long way since the launch disaster, content have been added and the game is now perfectly stable. the only thing that is still missing is a better itemization.
you can check all the release and patches notes in details on the official site.
People are talking as if the game mechanics have changed or something. The game is still the same.
What everyone is suggesting is that new content and less crashes make the game better. That's like suggesting that a Bon Jonvi album can become good if a new song or two is added.
well thanks i think im going to prolly stick t war
i already bought aoc so its only 15 if i wanna try it
idk how much WAR is right now prolly 40-50 but i guess its worth it if this game stays exciting
The game mechanics has changed.
PvP Consequence system
Combay combo system speed up
PvP resources
Introduction of Guild War system in between the guilds prior to Siege phase
Crafting Gemming
..... And so on... Tons of changed to game mecahnics and it works not too bad in my opinion. The biggest change for me was the changes done on the combo system. Way faster paced now.
If you're happy with WAR stick with it. If you left AoC cause you were unhappy with it, not enough has significantly changed to make you like it.
well thats most unlikely
it really depends on why he/she left, i know there is no list of reasons why people left right after launch, but i guess mainly for technical bugs/disconnects/lag/mem leaks etc... and because of the lack of end game content.
both those issues have been addressed in the previous patches, the game now is perfectly stable and a LOT of quality end game content has been added.
so it really depends from one person to another.

Obviously we can't know so its just a matter of opinions but I think if the game lived up to its hype the bugs wouldn't have mattered.
As far as the content goes, there was so little that adding a lot still doesn't bring the content up to the level expected in a mainstream topshelf title that AoC was supposed to be.
Still makes no sense to leave a game you were happy with to try a game you were unhappy with. Obvious solution is to wait for FC to offer a 'welcome back' trial to vets. The way I see it, if they haven't offered one, then they don't think the game is ready either.

i agree that Funcom should offer a free trial for vets and even specials for guilds that waisted their time on an unfiinished game.
but again, it all depends on why anyone left, people who left because they didnt like the game mechanics will not find any significant change, but people who left because of bugs for example (and i know a lot of people who left mainly because of bugs) will find a totally diffrent game if they retry it now.
