need recomend on custom parts

i am ordering a custom laptop and need advice on what to parts to order.

everything from motherboard to video card,(or just enough to get it to run smoothly)

Basically i am not looking for the latest parts but just enough to get it play some popular games and MMOs

MMOs such as blood feud rohan, conquerer,even WoW, and PC game elder scrolls oblivion on high settings. so yeah thats about it. or am i better off ordering straight a factory made? either way gimme advice.Thanks

     ...Why would you build a laptop?  

    Just buy one already made, get a warranty and be happy.. if you want to build a desktop, thats a different story, maybe then I'd be better help.

    The most important part to playing games is the graphics card.  Both the 9800M GTX265M, and HD4670M/4800M would be the choices you should look for.  After that is battery life.  Something like a 12~15 cell lithium battery because either of those GFX cards will significantly drop the power life of your laptop.  After that is memory.  Somewhere around 4 gigs.

    Here are laptops that I am talking about.

    Personally, I would aim at an MSI laptop with an HD4850/70 onboard.  They come powered down, so when you are using it mobily you have descent powerlife.  Then when you plug into an AC adapter, you can click on the Turbo Mode button and it powers up.

    dude just buy a netbook and spend the money building a desktop for gaming.

    Where were you looking at to buy laptop components anyway?  Or does someone know a good place to buy laptop components?

    I suggest to buy this parts:

    CPU: Intel Core 2 duo P8400 or better

     

                                             T7800 or better

    GPU: Nvidia: 8800 GTXGTS   or better

                            9600 GT              or better

                            130M                    or better

               Ati       : HD 3800             or better

                            HD 4600             or better

                            HD 4800             or better

    RAM: DDR2 2GB                       or better

               (dual channel is good)

    HDD: this is up to you ;)

    advice to you - choose the display carefully and check dpi(dots per inch(resolution)) before u buy it.
