I found this game called Dark Fall listen to the review
Dark Fall's graphics are limited to an antiquated and grainy 640x480 resolution; it would have been nice to have seen the game's well-crafted art in more detail. The game also has the annoying habit of lowering your monitor's refresh rate to headache-inducing levels and then not switching the rate back up when you exit the game, forcing you to reset it by hand each time you quit. The game's audio is actually one of its biggest weaknesses. Ghostly voices and mysterious creaks and moans often sound like low-budget sound effects. As you play, you'll find that they're just as likely to detract from the atmosphere as add to it.
Dark Fall is slow-paced and short, and it lacks the gripping story or exotic locales of the best adventure games.

i wonder where darkfall got there name from maybe this game , it was a book before it became a game ?
also sounds like a review of DF too.. owell just thought i would pass this along ..

To the OP, Darkfall is also a book written by Dean Koontz. I seem to remember an earlier book / story named Darkfall back in the 90's but can't put my finger on who wrote it.
The book is much better then this steaming pile. Of course look at who the author is, not some indie dev
BTW the original game you mention was quite good for its' time period. It had much more depth then the current DF

Well much later i found out that this game and these screenshots prefented me from register to darkfall forums back in 2002.
Late 2003 i found out it was wrong game i saw back in 2002 and needed to follow darkfall mmo instead the Dark Fall you mentioned here .
I came to that game becouse i was playing on AC-Darktide and someone mentioned it, i thought what a crap and point and click no thx hahaha.
Games played:AC1-Darktide'99-2000-AC2-Darktide/dawnsong2003-2005,Lineage2-2005-2006 and now Darkfall-2009.....
In between WoW few months AoC few months and some f2p also all very short few weeks.
Wow it really does sound like darkfall. LOL thats sooo wierd.
