New Character creation EZ Mode

Hmm I resubscribed to DDO again after 3 years. I noticed a lot of changes have happened to the game. I also noted they consolidated many of the servers into now 5 servers so all my old characters are now gone. I tried to create a new character but what's with the EZ mode character generation thing. How do I custom create my character, I'm a veteran DnD/DDO player so I know how to do my own builds with stats and feats and skills but am I missing something here, the new character creation thing won't let me set my own stats. Any advice ?

    It was a bit tricky for me to figure out how to create a custom pack, but if you just fiddle around for a few minutes, you'll get it.

    Not subscribed right now, so I can't look in to explain.

    Hi . You just need to choose you class type (melee, caster or specialist), then your actual class, and when you're in step III (choosing path=build) you can click "Customize" and then OK.

    It's here, under these3 pregenerated builds:

    Your characters are still there, they just moved. Here is a list of what servers were merged:

    • Mabar merged with Argonnessen
    • Fernia & Lhazaar merged with Ghallanda
    • Aerenal & Adar merged with Sarlona
    • Aundair & Riedra merged with Khyber
    • Xoriat & Tharashk merged with Thelanis

    If a your character name was already in use on the yellow server then you would have 'of Server' added to your first name  (same for guilds) and you would be able to change the name for free.

    Interesting. Didn't realize they redid the character creation system. I was thinking of giving DDO another go. Might have to try this now. While I liked having freedom to customize my character I found it annoying at times. It's part of why I don't care for character creation in Neverwinter Nights. I always feel I'm screwing something up. Rather just pick a class or path and go from there.

    HEHE u´ll have alot of new nice material to go thrue aswell ^.^
