I think its nonsense that the mods are so biased against WoW. I know they are just catering to the WoW hating trolls that make up a large part of their community.. but moderating is about being fair.
Any thread in the general forums about WoW gets moved to the WoW forums... Sorry... but maybe I want to talk to players who DONT play WoW about WoW......
Why dont they move all threads about a particular game to that games forum? Lets go down the list.. see how many general forum threads would be gone.
Today I posted a link to a video I made... the video was made to introduce WoW to people who haven't seen it yet. I posted it in the general forums because it was directed at people who DONT play WoW.... come on guys.... stop censoring WoW talk in the general forum.

They're more than fair, a "Meet WoW" post lasts three times longer than any one of my meet "wurmonline" posts.
As for EvE games those fanboys tend to be a bit more clever and introduce some other aspect into the post, or post during the moderation lulls so some troll introduces those aspects for them.
I find it amazing that by 2020 first world countries will be competing to get immigrants.
im guessing you posted this video in the general forums and they moved it to the wow forums?
If that's the case they did their job right. General forums are for general discussions and not mmo specific. if that were the case, general forums would be bombarded by aoc, darkfall and every other game out there

You're on MMORPG.com. Since when have the bulk of people posting in ANY game forum been full of people who play the actual MMO?
OK, firstly, as for some being moved and others not, it depends entirely on if one of the following happens:
a) a mod sees the post and decides to move it
b) a regular member reports the post, it's investigated by a mod, who choses to move it
so if a post is not seen or reported, it won't be moved. simple as that. there's no selection based on game, it's purely a case of if it's seen or reported.
Now, with regards to wether they should have moved it or not, personally, I'd say they're in their right to. If someone is looking for a new MMO, chances are they will look through the forums for the individual games. After all, a post in general for a specific game looks more like an advertisement than a post with any specific information, therefore most will just dismiss it automatically. Now, if the post was a constructive comparison of several MMOs, including WoW, then it would have a place on general. If it was a post summing up recommendations for different sub-genres, then it would have a place. As a post showcasing someone's video specifically of WoW, it really should be in the WoW forums. Those who haven't tried it will most likely look there for ideas anyway, though I must say, the numbers who haven't tried it must surely be small on a site such as this.
oh, and one last thing. As this is a post regarding the moderators, it should really go in the "site discussion" forums, so that it can be seen and addressed by the moderators in the correct place, and not just end up buried by all of the non-site related posts. Therefore I've reported it, so that a mod may move it to it's correct location.

The mods aren't biased, they do whatever they like and don't really care for what the members want.

You don't need to have a subscrption to an MMO to visit its board. Anyone who was looking for info on WoW would probably go to that board in the first place.
While you think this isn't considered wow talk, it certaintly is and should be treated as so. That's where it needs to go. It doesn't need to be in general. Realizing that you are trying to introduce the general community to World Of Warcraft when 90% of the community knows about World Of Warcraft is another reason to move it to the actual Wow general folder. In my eyes, Moderators did a good job at moving it there. There's no need to recruit for a game that has over 9 million subscribers even if you're trying to be helpful. Have a good night!
You know a site is biased when you are banned by posting ANYTHING negative about Eve on their board, yet you go to the WOW board and 1/2 the posts are variation on 'WOW sucks...". The same people were posting day in day out and NONE of it was moderated. I know because it happened to me a while ago. Ever since then, I stopped taking this place serious. That and how Eve won BEST PVE in one of their awards lists. Is thats not enough of a laughing stock, what is? Ever since WOW proved all the nerd skeptics wrong back in its early months and became overly popular, its all been down hill. The WOW hate began and this place became a joke.
