Darkfall.....Can we buy this yet or what? /moved
Since I cant seem to post in the Darkfall forums, Im gonna post here. Can anyone here in the US buy this game out. It has been officially realeased right?? I was able to put in my credit card info and download the client. Any other suggestions as to how to get into this game??

Why would you want to pay for a game that is clearly in Beta?

I am willing to throw my money at them but those tards don't seem to want it. You can give me this shit about them having reasons for a staged release but this is pathetic.
i think i may wait until around this time next year to try this game out. maybe by then everything will we ironed out and i wont have to put up with the BS some people are.
Every day (excluding the week-ends) at 11 AM (GMT-5 Eastern USA/CA) is when you can order DarkFall. Be fast though as they are only releasing limited order (the number of release was not told except that it's in the 4 digits). Check the forum though as they are working on their server right now and they might modify a few things again. Don't let other peoples stupid comment affect you. Try to game and if you like it play it. If you don't just don't :P
I wonder how a person is supposed to "try" the game if they have to pay full retail price for it before given an opportunity to try.

I'm almost to the point where I don't care about the game anymore and its pissing me off. The fabboys that defend Darkfalls devs for not adaquately preparing for the demand and the loops you have to jump through to purchase the game is so annoying. Almost everyone says it feels like the game is still in beta as well...
It is out, but you cannot buy it.
At the moment sales are suspended because the server reached the limit.
Funny thing is that Aventurine seems to have decided that the game is for a small niche, although I believe their definition of niche is very small.
This game could sell easily 200K instead I believe AV sold no more of 50K because they only have 1 server and theydo not plan to open a new one.
So many who want to buy the game won't have a chance.
I wonder how a person is supposed to "try" the game if they have to pay full retail price for it before given an opportunity to try.
Or is that a stupid comment?

You applied your presumption that trying a game requires it to be a free trial. It doesn't.
Just cancelled mine, it should be up for grabs on Monday. Game just wasn't for me, just another hack/slash WOW wannabe.
The game can be downloaded in advance so that once you buy it you are good to go.
The online shop is due to be up on Monday; previously at 7pm GMT but on one day it was 4pm GMT. Selling many more copies did result in queues so the shop has been closed since Wednesday.
No DF does not currently have the capacity to cope with demand. To give an idea of what that would take check out FUNCOMs Q4 report: they took a $1.9M hit in Q4 for closed servers and a planned $1.9M in Q1 as well. Took them from profit to loss. Now if the folks bashing AV for not having the capacity want to hand them over a few million ....
And one of the biggest complaints that Aoc and then WAR had was ...dead servers, low population.
If you haven't got the game that sucks etc. Me I would work something out with EBay regarding the selling of accounts in batches. But I can understand why they are staggering the sales.
There are a lot of folks in game now and anyone interested should be able to find there comments on mmorpg, tentonhammer, VN etc. - even the official forums. There is no NDA so they can tell it as it is: th egood and the bad.

I smell someone who is not happy because he (or she...who knows) didn't get his order. Seriously about 90% of the talk shitters I have seen didn't get their pre-order. Otherwise they simply base themselves on what 1 or 2 beta tester said and turn it into something completly new.
Why say Tasos treats people like trash when they actually released limited order? That means that they are ready to sacrifice an income of about 150k just to make sure servers are stable and players enjoy the game. Treat people like trash? Think again before saying anything stupid. Thanks.
Until they launch the game with a play before you pay option I still say it's vapourware.

The game is vaporware mate. Second warning and ban coming for me.
There are currently less than 5,000 actually playing at the moment.
The cash they have taken since sales and monthly subs will keep them going till end May 2009.
After that they will purchase improved hardware and about another 4,000 will be allowed in.
However , disenchantment is already setting in, gameworld can be described as good, however gameplay as in total PVP does get boring.
Game will fold mid July in my estimation unless they get one of the big boys ( SOE anyone?) in to sort out the mess.
By 5,000 playing actually do you mean : "right now" or "number of people with their order" If it's the last choice sorry but you are wrong. It's much more than that and the biggest proof may come from the fact that they will be increase their server power during this week to increase the numbers of players who play and shorten the long queue time in order to release more limited order during this week.As for wether it will survive until mid-July or not is up to how they deal with the game. Maybe it will fold earlier or later....who knows.

Games played:AC1-Darktide'99-2000-AC2-Darktide/dawnsong2003-2005,Lineage2-2005-2006 and now Darkfall-2009.....
In between WoW few months AoC few months and some f2p also all very short few weeks.

Seems funny to me that they offer sales but I have yet to find a sales page on their site.
