My first Work-Related nightmare.

LustmordLustmord Member UncommonPosts: 1,114

I just woke up from my first work related nightmare:

I was supervising a call center, when I recieved a report that an angry customer had threatened to bomb us. He even specified which area of our department. I documented the account, and suddenly a loud alarm goes off, which caught me by surprise. I was trying to figure out how to stop it, but I couldn't.

People were getting up and walking out of the building, and I didn't know if I should stop them. Other people continued to work, and I didn't know if I should tell them to get out of the building. WHY WAS THIS ALARM GOING OFF?

I then suddenly had an AR -15 assault rifle. I don't know what I did, but the gun started going off in 3 round bursts and I couldn't stop it. I didn't shoot anybody, I just kept it pointed at the ground. But I was starting to panic because I was shooting a gun in my office.

Next I was outside with a security guard, trying to explain what happened with the alarm. I'm explaining that I don't think the customer was a real threat, and I didn't mean for the alarms to go off.

The gun was still in my hand, and it  randomly started going off again. I pointed it at the ground in a panic, and realized the clip was not in properly and fixed it. Then I noticed everyone was outside with me- but it was safe to assume that they evacuated the building because of the alarm or the gun.

My Boss's Boss comes up to me wondering what the deal was with the gun. I tried to explain it to him, and called the AR-15 an AK-47 on accident. I tried to correct myself but everything I said after that was incoherent babbling.  He just looked at me like I was an idiot and walks away.

So I start heading back inside. I light up a cigarette during the walk. Then suddenly I'm inside and still smoking, and I throw down the cigarette immediately. It lands in the corner of a cubicle and starts burning the brand new carpet. I tried to stomp on it, but it was at a weird angle and I couldn't put it out before it left a big burn mark on the carpet.

So I picked up the cigarette butt and carried it a little way before I through it in a random trash can, hoping nobody saw me.

I went back to my desk and was waiting to talk to my boss about the whole mess when I woke up.

Fucked up dream.

That's awesome!  You totally hate your job!  Especially liked it how you couldn't speak coherently when your boss shows up.  That says a lot.

Hope you got your things together. Hope you are quite prepared to die. Looks like we're in for nasty weather. ... There's a bad moon on the rise.

People who have to create conspiracy and hate threads to further a cause lacks in intellectual comprehension of diversity.
