At the moment I'm not playing any MMORPG. I've played quite a few over the years, EQ, AO, FFXI, WOW, and a few more unmentionables. But all in all I'm still waiting for my perfect MMO... personally don't think I'll ever see it, but here's my thoughts.
1. Combat style / world environment like Final Fantasy XII. At first when XII came out I loathed the new combat system, and kept telling myself I hated it since it wasn't like the old FF's. But after a few months I gained a new perspective. This was what I've wanted out of an mmorpg. I want this type of Combat setup and action functions. I want a vast BEAUTIFUL world filled with tons of monsters and rare creatures. I want Dungeons with Unique godlike bosses.
2. Crafting system similiar to Star Ocean 2: The Second Story. I love crafting in mmorpg's.... so far the systems I've played have either been too simple or confusing as hell. I was a system where I have chance based around statistics of my character to create items w/ additional properties and magical abilities. I want something unique too, the ability to customize appearances of crafted items. In SO2 you bought raw materials and started crafting random stuff based on your stats/skill.. take it to the next step and give us the ability to harvest up raw goods and give us random chances based on our stats to get items. Have a seemingly unending diversity of items/stats/looks. I'm tired of seeing the same people w/ the same stuff on or having to kill an elite epic boss for a chance that I might get some cool item that took me months to aquire to only then have NEW CONTENT make it obsolete.
3. Music composed by Nobuo Uematsu. Nuff said.
4. Another element I'd like to see comes from the Fable franchise. I want my deeds to be depicted upon my characters appearance. Let my character interact more with NPC's and give me scars to show my work.
Well it's a start... Doubt I will ever see this game, but I can always wish. I honestly wish Square-Enix would've gotten it right years ago and NOT given us what is FFXI, but made their online game more like FFXII. FFXII Online... would've been nice!

Well I think Rangnarok is a perfect game. I am taking part in a contest arranged by mmorpg.com and playspan to give away $100 point cards. If I win hope I can play that...!
