Reinstalling after formatting HD

in Final Fantasy XI

If I reformatted my HD and reinstalled FF XI on the PC, will I lose all my character informtion?

    no you will not lose you caracther information by formating your hdd, all caracther info is stored on one of squares online servers, the omly reason a caracther is deleted is if you decide to delete it in game or the account is inactive for 90 days.

    this is normal for all mmo games so if you decide to formate your hdd the only bad thing is that if you have ffxi with both xp packs it takes forever to install :)
