Darkfall US
We know its coming, though I haven't heard an exact date, though its supposed to be within a month. A US Launch of Darkfall. A server located within th US, etc. More Digital Copies to go along with it.
With that in mind, my question for my fellow North American gamers is will you try it? Or will most of you, that are eager to play it keep trying for a copy for the EU server?
Those of you that were fortunate enough to get a copy and are now playing on the EU Server, but live in the US, will you stay there? Or will you reroll and play on the US server, for whatever reason. Maybe lower ping times, better population at peek times, etc.
Now as text can be ready many different ways I want to clarify that this is in no way a stab at anyone playing or anyone that wants to play but can't get their hands on a copy. I'm just trying to satisfy my own gamers curiosity. So before anyone flames me or warns me about the game or tries to convince me how great it is will say this. Regardless I will try it, it looks interesting. I will however wait for a US server/launch. If that fails to happen, there are other games out there. I'm just trying to get a feel for the numbers, how many North American people are interested in playing but willing to wait for the US launch.

Well, for anyone who wants to switch to the NA server, I think they plan on allowing a free transfer.
I imagine that's what I'll do.
Wait, didn't you crash 1,507 systems in one day? Leave DF alone, it has enough problems.
Actually we have no idea when its coming it could be a month it could 5 months. Though to answer the question yes I am a NA player and I would go to the NA server. WIth the exception of soem bad moments the lag on the european servers haven't been that bad. But moving to a NA server would only improve that. I also wouldn't mind starting on a fresh new server.
And it free charcter transfers hasn't been confirmed but I do think its been implied.

I dunno about that less than a month date, seems like an EU #2 would be a higher priority right now. (and easier to pull off)
If I decide to play DF it will be on a US server.
For now I've lost interest and just started playing of all things, a F2P game. (which of course, is anything but free, shelled out 22.00 US right from the start.) Shame really, money that could have gone to Aventurine DF if they had only made things a bit easier to sub.

Priority nr1 is definately to fix the queue. People are waiting up to 5h. I just waited 2h and then got a critical error...
Hope they restart the server soon because it was unplayable. Mobs are lagging but if they succed in fixing all the bugs everyone will love that game.
I would love to play the game but my rule for gaming is to try before buy the last mmo I ended up buying was a complete fail (Archlord) lol they didnt even have the main feature of the game implemented until a year after release I wish I could sue them I was that mad. Darkfall does look very intresting and I'm pretty sure it would be my type of game but since there are so many mixed ideas out right now and that I'm already tight on money as it is I would only buy it if I got to try it first so hopefully that free trial rolls along sometime soon =]
Strongly doubt we'll see an NA server 1 month from now, forget about 1 month from release.
If tranfers are allowed, no NA for me.
I really can't see Aventurine opening a NA server anytime soon, due to the fact that I would guess that the majority of subscriptions at this time are NA based. I'm basing that off watching the amount of seeds during the first week of downloads. So, it's just speculation.

I gave up trying to be competitive with other people in MMORPGs a long time ago, but I could see how allowing transfers might piss a lot of new players off.

I myself ,will be going to US servers. I really dont care if they do not let us bring our characters because I tried every race to see what I would play for the entire game and to have an intel advantage on whomever would be my enemies.so I started over several times anyway. So rolling a brand new character is nothing to me, in fact I encourage it , it would give me even more of an edge. This should also make all the players just getting into the game very happy. All of the guys that started from the beginning can just destroy new characters because their gear ,stats , and skill/familiarity with the ui are far superior. New players have a slim to none chance to beat anyone who has been playing since launch in a 1v1 , 3v3 ect. any form of even matching.Their only hope would be to have numbers on their side ie 5 vs1 maybe. But if the vet is good and smart he could possibly even take the 5. Definatly if he was mounted. I have witnessed this. Well i witnessed 2 mounted alfar destroy about 15 other players. the mounted alfar were from Infamous and fully armored the 15 victims were from mercenaries and were naked. Anyone from either guild can testify to this. I was harvesting and heard the commotion got to a hig point and watched from a distance very amusing.
US servers! With all new characters! Thats what I wish for but if I can't have it that way *shrugs* whatever I can also be happy right where i am.

Anyway as far as the release of a US Server, I heard it was supposed to be within the next month, I cannot confirm that. I agree it would be more worthwhile for them to open another EU server. I do hope they open an NA server though. It would be nice to try. I hope Aventurine as a company seriously branches out and gets help in transitioning and opening more servers. Seems they could have done things much better in that area.
They must have US publishers queueing up for DF now. Hahahahah sorry couldn't resist it.
Once AV gives me a Trial ill be right there checking this out. It took mythic 6+ months to give me a WAR trial I'm prepared to wait even longer for a DF trial.
Euro, US server doesn't matter as long as I don't have bad lagg due to location.
