Would any current or former military members be interested?

SequenceLostSequenceLost Member UncommonPosts: 202

About a year ago I had the idea to start up a military friendly based EVE online corporation (think of membership much like a Legion Post or VFW style of corp.). Back then I didnt get much generated interest overall and eventually abandoned the plan. With the release of Aprocrypha I am wondering if there's any players both New or Old who may be interested in forming such a corporation? I have acquired Isk that I am willing to utlize to start the funding and would be looking to create a PVE (to start) based corp until we can get the members and operational aspects up and running. If anyone is interested please PM me, or reply to let me know, or you can shoot an EVEmail to Eizmund Drohner.

I am looking for a minimum of 6-7 people before I am willing to commit to starting such a venture.

Thanks for taking the time to read this, and I look forward to hearing back from the EVE Community.

I actually run such a corp I'm x-army and we got a few that are currently active. But while I won't give up my own corp let me know if you need any help.

I have played EVE off and on since the start.  Most guilds that I have joined were either ran by super hard core players who wanted you to be online whenever thay wanted you to be or the corp would just vaporize.

I was in the US Army from 1966 - 1969.  Yes I am an old fart.   I might re-subscribe if you need a casual player.  I dont want to join another army :)

    KB4Blu,

We are not trying to make the corporation anything "hard-core".  Those currently involved in its creation have already stated that we are strictly trying to keep the mentality to that of a US Legion Post.  Basically a place that military members whether current or former, and their family and friends can play together and talk with fellow military people.  There will undoubtably be some EVE politics and other areas within EVE that as a corporation we're bound to get mixed into in the long run, however we are going to attempt to keep the majority of that out of our members sight.  Not because we prefer to pull the wool over their eyes, but so that our corporation is seen more as a community than a corporation.  The politics involved will mainly be centering around garnering alliances and other things that will be beneficial to us all as a whole and we are going to attempt to keep the corporation Neutral for all the major power players in the game.  That said, at present do not expect much in the way of PVP from us, as we're just starting out and attempting to keep things in operation.  From a strictly gaming standpoint, If your looking at the idea of Re-Subbing i'd definitely say give it a go.  The latest expansion has done wonders to the game mechanics, and definitely warrants another look at the EVE universe.

For those who ARE interested please feel free to contact me via EVEmail.  My character in game is Eizmund Drohner.

I currently run a corp that has been around since 2005. I wont be giving it up, due to all the time and resources I have put into it, but I have been told, that I run a decent corp. I served in the US Army 1996-2000 and US Coast Guard 2000-2004.

My corp is based around being a freelancer.  No taxes, what you put into it is what you get out of it, and no politics, I typically handle all the politics, unless I feel it may hamper some peoples game play. The corp is small, but we have a goal. We already have a frieghter and a Orca, next is a High Sec POS. Once the POS is setup, then it will be used by the corp. With the growing number of players, factory slots, research slots, etc., is hard to come by  and this is what the POS will bring, free slots.

I am a gamer, but I always make sure, my guys put real life ahead of gaming. We all need a life, how else are we going to get alittle schwing schwing, hehe. But If anyone wants to join up, or if you need a place to meet people, then break off and make another corp, that is fine as well. In the hay day of the corp, had around 150 members, which, as freelancers, broke off and went their way. I am looking to get the corp running again and can us any and all help people want to give.

I have always helped fellow vets in finding a home or getting started and I wont stop. If your interested, look me up in Eve, Esterk, or msg me here, either way, I hope all of the Military Vets can find a home in Eve and enjoy what the game has to offer.

    Thanks for hi-jacking my thread.

Next time how bout you spend an extra 2 seconds to create your own instead of attempting to steal potential military members interested from mine.

Sorry, just trying to show you that there are many corps already military friendly and many that run just like a American Legion Post, if not better. I just thought it be a waste for you to go through and make something when I got one ready to go and small enough to where you can have a role in it.  If you havent figured out, Eve is HUGE. And there are alot of small corps with no future and no true leadership. My corp is one of the few that has stood the test of time and even after taking a break, due to real life issues, I come back to still find a small band of dedicate pilots to the corp. You posted a question to fellow military members about possible making a corp and looking for people to help dedicate themselves to the venture, well heres a corp and I am willing to help. Its already made, I got the skills to even make a alliance, and as you can tell, already have things in place to actually help people as they come in. I do see its my fault for not stating this and for that I am sorry.

Fair enough Drej however we have established our Corporation the "Multinational Military Coalition" and believe we will survive.  We have gotten a great ammount of support so far, and both myself and XO have prior corporation management experience.  Thank you for the heads up, and perhaps we can work together in the future.
