I have played DAOC since day 2 with a 4 month break in between. I just installed the open beta the other day for WoW and I got bored after about 2 hours of playing. Didn't like some of the aspects of the quests and the people were already being asses on there when you ask them questions. I myself am gonna buy and play EQ2 because a couple of people said it was like Old DAOC.
I already have quit DAoC....for World of Warcraft. My Collector's Edition is pre-ordered, and I'm ready for Nov. 23rd to hit. That being said, I also greatly enjoy EQII. It's a good game, just doesn't run too well on my aging system

But if i had to choose, i'd probably go for EQ2. Although i havent played the beta's of both WoW or EQ2 i dont know much about these games but EQ2 just seems more appealing.
I do hope they will add pvp to it soon since it will add some more variety to the game.
yep im sticking with DAoC until i get lvl 50 or im rediculously rich and done everything :S i was gunna quit then they said they were bringing out catacombs and now its just making me want to play more

Say, I have a craving to come back to daoc, reccomended? I drown in reveries of being a hibernian ranger high in a keep tower throwing out X-long range arrows, and other fun stuff. *starts to seriously consider*

BUT, I am quite smitten with Wish, and am signed up and waiting for the Beta. Now, should I find that it isn't all that I believe it will be, then I am fairly certain I will probably return to DaoC.
The only other MMO that I have any real interest in is Guild Wars, but it sounds a little too simplistic after spedning two years in DaoC.

COH is entertaining me at the moment but, it's not fullfilling like eq was when it first came out.
DnL (Dark and Light if you do not know) is the game I will be going to in April when it comes out.. Quite frankly, I'm surprised that their aren't more ppl from the DAoC community planning a move to DnL (not that that is entirely a bad thing in some cases..) because DnL is the next logical step up from DAoC..:)
I've been playing mmorpg's for some time and I have never seen any mmorpg that even comes CLOSE to the level of immersion, uniqueness, and all out coolness of DnL (if it lives up to its plans of course..)

WoW is my next game (nothing else has good potential atm). And although I like the EVE Online way of things it somehow doesn't grasp my attention because of the Futuristic setting.
I too been looking for the same spark when I started DAoC but I think my search has been in vain. That feeling only comes once (maybe if you didn't play for some time and totally started some new game without prior knowledge you could get a similar feeling).

I have tryed most of the mmorpgs and i still must say Daoc is still best game what has high lvl content that dont get boring in 1 week so going back to daoc as soon as i get my paycheck
Bah, as a DAOC ownage player I was in the only PVP server and really I think it really took away from my experiance because the non-stop killed by 50 zerg is one reason I quit. I still want to go to WoW because it's alot newer feel no matter what people say. WoW is the way to go for me... (HAIL LIFEBANE)
Newer games have more problems usaly take Everquest 2 they got nice problems with credit cards atm WoW isnt good for me i dont like graphics and classes pvp system not much difren (Mythic got much more exp in mmorpg than Blizzard but i dont think that they cant learn(still remember 1.10 pach for diablo2 LoD and how ppl reacted on it ) i still like keep siege in DAoC)... This game will never die. It stil got many players and they keep coming back almost evry day i hear: WoW was boring or no pvp suks or DAoC im back, in aliance chats. Matrix Online hmm, lets see if it will hold longer than SWG thy are almost same, but i will try it any way. Everquest 2 (seen that, sold that) only 4 chars +1$ char if you whant more, and no pvp,got bored in 3 weaks of playing, and they making this game harder and harder everquest1 was much bether than any other MMORPG sony has created. DAoC is most balanceed of them all. trust me Everquest2 and WoW will make lots of stupid patches, they dont have open test servers atles i didnt found them. Guild wars yah right (not for me)
I started this topic when my account was closed i was thinking of moving to other game but gues i didnt know what i was doing back then. Im staying, atm there is no bether game than DAoC for me.
P.S. Btw if you keep playing same game over and over again it will become booring for you, but it means that its fun cus you wer still playing (advice play other game for a while ) i never played only DAoC, thats why its still fun for me.

I am struggling to quit DAOC. Playing on the European Server Stonehenge, but after nearly 3 years DAOC is starts to get boring for me.
Maybe need some time to keep away.

Well, I am planning on playing matrix online if it is ever released but i'll keep playing DAoC til then .
