Ive been playing the open beta since it started, and I have to say its great. But now Blizzard comes out with this "localized server" idea that, in my opinion, will drive many people and guilds away from the game. Not being able to play with your friends/guildmates that are in different countries is just plain ignorant on their part. They quote international laws dealing with payments and other things, but why is it that every other major MMORPG is capable of haveing people choose the server they want? They have many reasons they give fro doing this, ie lower latency, GM support in your own language, etc, etc, but none of this reasons really make sense. So yeah, its a wonderful game, but no, if I cant play with the people that Ive been MMO'ing with for years, I wont be buying this game.

Most people seem to hate this idea, including myself.

Out of our whole guild, I am only aware of one person who isn't going to be able to play at the U.S./Canada release. I still think it isn't fair, though. I would rather have a bit of a higher ping and have to deal with a few people who can't speak the best English in the world as long as I got to enjoy the game and have fun with my friends.
I think it's fair.
I'm not a big fan of other nations. (note: not all nations, just a few I'm not a big fan of, and not ALL the people in those nations, just the majority of which I've played games with)

Okay, i ping over 420+ ms to any WoW american server not to mention the packetloss.. the best i can get is from the pacific servers and yeh thats about 420+ms sooo i cannot get any decent ping that is PVPable in and barely playable, so wake up to yourselves think about some other people before posting this crap, understand that we need a localized player server for Australia i don't agree with us being able to play in specific districts either but before you go around posting this crap think about the Aussies eh?
Blizzard said on it's forums that they are discussing permitting Europeans to play on US servers, once the European version has been released.
As far as I remember from the Blizzard posts, Australia will be playing on US servers.
I can't find the posts right now, because the forums are down
