Pretty Riki calls bull. Those girls gone wild videos will cancel all that research. Now I do think it's a nice reaction from a girl to a guy that smells good and I'm talking about cologne, not AXE. AXE is like a before and after GYM/Execrsise for me. Not casual wear.

Oh, you missed the really interesting article, ^liscious. The study that had guys smelling women's armpit odor. If someone asked me to participate in such a study, my first thought would be, "OK, where's the camera? Someone is trying to make a fool out of me."

Though it has been shown in previous studies, women can tell which baby is theirs by scent, when a man is aroused, and many other interesting things. * the nose knows!*
Somehow I doubt the need for a nose, not that it can't be used for that only that it’s needed.
Come on now, if a lady went up to a guy that smelled like pure rotten fish, u can tell his intentions? Maybe the ladies on these forums should rather test this out than assume? Not calling names, but many (I would say most, but bad guys are a big cause to this) women have too much high standards to even try something like this. There is so many studies and test, this is one that is just not in the right catagory...
It's not even the good I think out of this, I think the bad. Like a if a woman could smell the harm, abuse or even their own lives to the wrong guy. It's things like this in my opinion if women take seriously it's really going to mess them up. Like cosmo mags. Funny this topic gets post but my Tough Love topic gets none when it's kinda about women fixing themsleves to finding Mr. Right. Irony and no love for pretty riki.

Makes sense to me, it's not like you actually notice a scent or anything just a chemical that triggers a chemical in the chemical schmorgishboard we call the brain. You yourself never notice a thing.
Pheromons =/= filth and not bathing, just somthing all animals produce.
And I wouldn't say it's a female only thing.
All men and women produce pheromones, in face, most mammals do also. It's kinda surprising that we know more about the purpose of pheromones in animals than we know about the purposes of pheromones in humans...
Interesting pheromone fact: Women who live in close vicinity for months (like at all female dorms) will, over time, develope the same menstrual patterns.
I mean it makes sense the pheremones, but it's not like you can exactly tell. I don't think one is that much in tune with their senses, because true intentions are usually told by ones actions these days. That's what I usually get from the women.

NO CLUE. How did you know I didn't sleep yet? I was playing Resident Evil 5 on a boss and talking to a girl on the phone at the same time. She got mad, because I was playing a video game and hung up on me. It's not easy being a casanova and a gamer, I finished my game and tried to call her back and she was sleeping. So I'm just in a zombie state thinking about how I want my haircut today...I need some sleep.

I am a little zapped right now! Went and played a little pool with a friend, came home...and am doing some shopping online. LOL! OMG I had so much fun today and tonight...ummm...my roomie is out so I am home alone since Jess couldn't stay, he had to go home and sleep so he could go to work in the morning. Told him he could crash at my place but nooooooo....he said he needed sleep...lol as if I would kieep him up. OK maybe for a bit. ::sigh::
So I am like home alone with only my cat and my roomies pooch. Listening to some really cool music by Loreena McKennitt. ^_^

You are talking about masking the pheromones, not whether or not a woman can sense them. Of course you can mask them to some extent with a repugnant odor. I have been around enough sweaty men to say yes, I know exactly what they are talking about , it has been called the smell of lust, ( no not the after smell of sex) but the actual smell of arousal. Yes it has a smell, and though you may just think it smells like a sweaty man, women can tell the difference. This is also true of men being able to sense when a woman is " ripe" . It is perfectly natural, in humans and most other species.
They have also shown that fertile women seek more " manly " men for mates in order to have a better gene balance in their offspring. These are primitave instintcs built in for reproduction and survivial of the species. Certain male characteristics are more attractive to fertile women than when they are infertile. This would also explain how many make poor choices for life mates. If they choose a lifemate solely on sexualy attraction and reproduction suitability they often do not have much more in common than that, so when the fertility stage wears off they wake up wondering what on earth were they thinking?!!
In this study they just used sweat samples, no men present, no other masking odors . The " sex sweat" triggered a different reaction in the brain than the regular sweat . This is perfectly natural , and is the expected reaction after examination of many different species.. it would be odd if humans did not share these same characteristics.
