Agreed. This is by far the best f2p mmo I've played to date and I've play a lot of them. It's got it's flaws for sure but the level of polish I'm seeing with RoM is way past anything I've seen in a f2p so far.
Some people call it a WoW clone but I find that totally irrelevant to how much I like or don't like this game. (It's really not a WoW clone, but again, useless debate IMO)
Even the most of the cash shop items can be bought with tokens you earn in the game meaning that you never get that uber overpowered guy that just blew a bunch of money to get where he is. This game is actually f2p.
There's also been a lot of rebalencing patches lately which gives me a solid reason to believe that this game is only going to get better.
It's also nice to see a death penalty that's not a joke/means of transportation. Death costs exp and sometimes items. (see what I mean about this not being a WoW clone?)
I'm just rambling here, but hopefully it's useful to someone.
You get your own house, there's dual classing, the auction house works better than the one in warhammer online...

First game in a long time that i've played and felt a small hint of danger within the pvp system.
Although I make the argument flagging is for PvE servers, the PvP in RoM atm is one of the most risk-vs-reward out there (Aside from maybe Eve, but who wants a ship for an avatar, cmon.)
The game is free to play, and the item shop gives no player an advantage over any other player who doesn't pay (just a large convience factor, IE permanent mounts, maybe faster leveling, etc).
Overall, I am enjoying the game and I'll be playing for a while until something better come along.
I have to agree, my previous forays into the F2P areaa were less than satisfying (Perfect World, RFO, SotNW to name a few) however this game is fun in a weird sort of way.
Last night a guy kept trying to kill me and finally managed to catch me after several tries and is now on my nemisis list.
The PVP system is what separates this game from WOW (don't play on a PVE server) and adds a great dimension of fun to the game. There's looting of killed players (no, you don't get everything, but you can get 2 or 3 nice items)
The cash shop imparts a ton of convenience, but not really any great advantage, and they've been adding new quests every day.
(Don't worry grind fans, you can do that too in some instances.)
Upper level content is lacking some I'm told, but the dual classing aspect of this game is just too much fun to pass up.
Do you make a Mage/Priest? Rogue/Knight, Knight/Warrior or Scout/Mage. All play quiet different and give you lots of options in leveling.
Crafting isn't too bad either, (though I abhor crafting) and the gathering system has plenty of resources for everyone.
If you're bored I recommend you give it a trial.

They arent wiping the servers nor making a new pvp server so yeah play this game if you wanna be ganked by cap chars, this is not a official release this is more like a new patch and they are calling it a release.The open beta has been out way to long for them not to make a new pvp server or wpe the old ones.
So now you are whining over here in this thread? I'm not trying to be a jerk or anything, but why don't you just learn to play?
You don't need to be in at a server start to survive and prosper in this game, at least not if you have any skill and perseverance.
It is a PVP game, and it takes some fortitude to fight your way to the top?
Or do you prefer to gank lowbies?

i prefer a level playing ground for all and most people do also. I am just saying if it's the "OFFICIAL RELEASE" there should be wipes or a new server just like eq2 did when pvp came out and wow release new servers all the time for fresh starts.

meh screw this.. most of thier mirrors are super slow but the filefront one is ok however it has corrupt files (I downloaded twice, same error.) i also tried mmorpg's game gravity mirror and it has errors in the rar file before even installing. they need to get thier crap together
Make sure you got Rar for opening the files and download the client from www.gamershell.com. ive loading the game on 7 comps and that one has never let me down yet. I really hate it when they say this game is a WOW clone. I hated WOW but Im having a blast at this game. Quit EQ2 to play this. Great game so far. Try it. For people crying they should do a server wipe, well you could have started earlier and be a higher level by now. I probably wouldnt have played it so much if they had told me that they would wipe the servers. Anyway staying up for servers to go live in 4 hours.
This looks interesting, I will definately give this one a try.
