"The Open Beta for The Chronicles of Spellborn has started 3/20/09
To gain access to the Open Beta click here and enter your Acclaim User ID to activate your account. Upon successful activation download the game and login to start playing. If you have already downloaded the game just login and play.
Current Closed Beta testers will be automatically granted access to the Open
Beta and will not need to download a new game client nor activate their
account.
We added a new PvE server in addition to the current PvP server."

I havn't really followed this game, but has it switch owner or something? I am fairly sure I have played it like 6 months ago and don't have any recollection of ever being in closed beta. :S

Servers are currently down for maintenance, tho.
as far as i know, the european version of the game already launched, so you probably played that one (www.tcos.com/). from what i've read, there was a lot of IP blocking involved so people who weren't from europe couldn't play, so the population was rather low.
this open beta is basically the north american version, which is maintained by Acclaim (spellborn.acclaim.com/).
good to have you guys in... i've been in cb for about a week and a bit now.. awesome game everyone will see...

I played the EU version and really enjoyed it but the population was nil which ruined the experience. I am seeing alot of interest in the acclaim ran version though so it should be alot better time. Hope to see you in game also.

im also a member of the biggest cb guild in game at the moment "The Deadspell" look out for us most of us have been following a long whiles and have a lot of usefull info drop us a line or keep an eye out for fusion-X. ill be glad to offer advice
