I have a PNY 6800 GT, 2.2Ghz Pentium4, and 1 gig of ram with a cable modem. I have been playing EQ2 for about a week now and it runs great. I haven't had any lag at all. The graphics look good, expecially the water. You shouldn't have any problems running the game.
i would expect that itshould run great, everyone recommends it.
im getting a computer similar to what your getting also
P4 3.0ghz 1gig geil pc3200 ram and the nvidia geforce 6800gt (but, i keep changing my mind, lol, by the time im able to buy it the prices may have dropped and i can get something better. buying it around february )
When i got the game on Friday i had a MSI GeForce 4200 Ti, EQ2 ran ok on high performance but a little choppy on Balanced or above.
On Tuesday my MSI GeForce 6800GT was delivered. All i can say is WOW! The improvement was amazing, i have almost all settings maxxed and gameplay is smooth. DOOM 3 is also breathtaking.
The 6800GT is in my opinion the best card out for the money, sell your Gran to get one!

Go to the EQ2 forums, and click " technical Help", now read all the posts of people with 6800 complaining about having poor performance compared to the X800. No flames plz, Im being serious.
The X800 pro also losing in most benchmarks and games including EQ2. PC gamer even said that the best x800 pro(12-pipe) couldnt compare to the basic 6800 GT(16 pipe). Althought I have heard problems with a 6800GT and nforce 3 boards- anyone know?

Yes the 6800 is better than the X800, except for playing EQ2 and HL2
