    It was pretty foolish to think there wouldn't be a wipe, Blizzard is too overly concerned with the in game economy to allow that many people to have an edge in crafting and other tradeables. But I think it was pretty tacky of Blizz to play thier "Let them duke it out and think it really matters" game. They need to grow some over there, as far as I'm concerned.

    I'm sad to see my level 42 go *sniffle, I'll miss you uber ram of quickness, gift from the gods of badass*, but now I know exactly what class I want to focus on. And it's a very small price to pay for seeing the doofus population drop due to having to pay for the game now. ::::28::

    A wipe was the right thing to do. Now, no matter what anyone says, everyone will have a fresh start come Nov 23.

    This is good to hear. I actually got into a HUGE argument with a bunch of people today in general about a character wipe before I realized how rude I was being to everyone... Regardless, this is good news, I was shocked to see Blizzard say they might even almost think about it.

    I figured there would be a wipe. 

    Even if there wasnt a wipe, I would be starting over... I have a few friends that havent played, so I will be playing with them.  image

    I was actually suprised that OB ends this early, I was figuring saturday or sunday.  But oh well, they have things to do in preperation for release, not to mention time off for those hard working Devs!  image

    ya, it really pissed me off to see all the OB MMORPG noobs that thought they should get to keep their chars.....

    I am glad there was a wipe, but I am also a little sad to see my character go. I had been planning on their being a wipe though because I wanted to play a different class than my character already was. And I think this shows that Blizzard was never debating the matter... I mean come on! hahahahaha

    I expected a wipe. It is sad to see my character go, but oh well. I'll make new characters with new abilities, and new equipment., etc...

    good good my lvl57 character whiped dont miss it it was learning stage now with what i know i hope i gonne make my character better and know with new start i know better what to do.

    I knew from the start that there would be a wipe.  However, I don't understand why people are glad there is one.   There will always be people who are higher levels than you.  Even with a wipe, there will be people who will out level you and beat you in pvp.   Wiping just means more level/time grinding for everyone.

    Maybe you should get a GF and even try getting Laid. I love MMO's and Video Games in general but at least my Son, and GF come first...

    I always expected the wipe.  I tried out several classes and majority i didn't get past lvl 12 other than a hunter i managed to get to lvl 24.  I wanted to get a taste of each class to have a better idea of what I may want to play when retail hits.  Obviously I fell in love with the hunter class so that will probably be my main but I did like the mage and warlock as well. 

    Cool thing is I can't wait to be able to play each side on separate servers in retail.  I will already have a good feel for the Alliance lands so I can experience some "newness" on whatever server I decide to play as horde. 

    Anybody who just tried to lvl a toon as far as possible hoping there would not be a wipe, well, too bad you should have known it was gonna happen.

    I dont see why people would complain about a wipe. A beta is a beta, and nothing else. Just be happy you got in it and know how to get an advantage over those not able to join beta. I have a few friends that missed the OB and kind of got annoyd not beeing able to test it out.
