As good an opinion as any.. But don't forget (if this hasn't already been mentioned before) that during beta tests its good bussiness to let players lvl easier. Why? Because that way you as a programmer can fine tune every aspect of the game. What you would want is a range of players on all lvls of play. Im willing to bet that the retail release will be much harder to increase lvls . xp will be harder to receive and grouping will be a bonus. Blizzard kicks ass and we all know they will do whats right with the player in mind. Just my 2 cents.
Keep in mind, they plan on putting in Hero classes, so lvl 60 WON'T be the level cap for long. I've heard acouple numbers tossed around for a cap. I've heard from 100 to 150. Remember Anarchy Online has 220 lvls in it so levels over 100 is nothing new.
I'm not sure how much harder leveling will be, but my guess is they will try something to make grouping more important in the earlier stages. I could get a character to level 10 easily without creating a party. I think they'll have a significant bonus if you party.

I'm not going to flame the original poster for making such judgements while only reaching level 7. I did chuckle, but I won't flame
Another poster was exactly right, the first ten levels are really your introduction to the game and yes, they are fairly easy. The game does get more challanging as you advance. I like that you can play solo most of the time and advance at a good rate, but there are elite missions that definitely do require a group and always a few non-elites that seem a little tougher than their level, where you call on a friend to give you a hand.
Powergamers will get to level 60 fairly fast, more power to them. I'm glad that the advancement curve is not blanced to them, and that the game also offers plenty of things to do at level 60. Eventually those things will get old, but hopefully by then Hero Classes will be in and the level cap will be higher.
I do want to say that some classes are more fun and challanging to play. On one hand, it's good to have simpler classes for less experienced players, but I would like to see something done to make Paladin, Warrior and Priest a little bit more fun to play. I tried a few professions before I found my favorite and while I enjoyed all to one degree or another, finding the right class for my play style really increased my enjoyment significantly.
To make this game attractive they need to up the difficulty, make grouping a bigger part of the game, and tweak the combat system to make it more fun. After playing City of Heroes, Auto Attack games really do nothing at all for me.

You obviously dldn't play it long enough with one character to actually figure out how hard or easy it is if your highest character was lvl 7. My intent is not to flame you but you sound like a few of my friends in my EQ guild who claimed the same thing you do and when i asked them how long they actually played it neither of them played the game more than 30 minutes.
It took me a good hour to step out of the "EQ BOX" and get use to the interface as well as the combat system because the combat system is much faster paced than EQ and at higher lvls you have more than 2 or 3 buttons you push and you have to be quick about it too. I DID NOT like the game the first 30 minutes but I gave it a chance and ended up ABSOLUTELY LOVING IT. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but you can reach lvl 7 in 30-45 minutes which isn't the time to form an opinion on the game. Leveling does slow down just like other MMORPG's and there are things you have to group for especially when u get to around lvl 20.
And as far as your comment on they need to make it more group dependent.....Well SOE has ruined EQ with that concept. Having an hour to play and spending 45 minutes looking for group isn't that much fun and not how I want to spend my time.
The quests make this game even better then most other MMORPG's
by lvl 12 I had 2 quests taged as elite and they were red to me, there was no way to do them without a group unless I wished to make another 10 lvl's and do them myself?
By lvl 13 I was being asked to group repeatedly ,.. By lvl 14 I was actively looking to group,, They do have a feature you can open and see who's looking and you can put yourself as looking to group..
I found a rogue to be alot of fun and I have never really liked melee restricted classes in the past PP was alot of fun
I hope you will change your mind and come back as the plus' you named, like 5.1 audio, the quality of the world and such, plus the fact you didn't get high enough to really group ..
I have always felt grouping at low level was a waste of time, most everyone is still learning how to play, forced grouping like EQ made those low levels terrible for me..

Same here, I agree. Nice thread BTW, hardly any flames at all and lots of good advice. It would seem we're all handling our withdrawals a great deal better than I'd expected- for the moment.
Otto!
I'm looking for some friends that I lost contact with over the years...
Originally posted by UsualSuspect I got to play the game for two days, and my highest level character was 7 (also three 6's), so I'm obviously not open to all the facts. 1) Too Easy - As I said above, I don't know if its like this later in the levels, but I found the game to be incredibly easy.
Yea, thats really stupid how they made those first 5 levels.. If they were smart like you and I is, they would have made it impossible to get past level 2 without a group of 5 or more.. 4 if there is a priest
On a different note, today I had a chance to play through a bit of Half Life 2, by Valve software. I only made it through the first two levels, and I dont know if this is how the whole game is, but I really thought they could have done more with it. I mean, did the guys at Valve really think it would be fun to only have a crowbar in this game? I got really tired of whacking it. Whacking it on the table, and the chair, and on the keyboard.. It's pretty fun at first, but after awhile it gets boring, and I want to shoot at something instead.
WoW is a high content game...u level very fast to 25 and this is ok. at level 25 u start to enter the contest regions and there the games starts and it doesn't end when u are level 60 cause then u start to do raids like Onyxia. Actually I added something for your responce to that guy I should have quoted him instead so you would have known this but I thought you'd figure I was adding to your statement more than questioning it. I apologise you didn't relize this.

after playing open beta for so many hours until i reached lvl 25 i have to say this game is nice !
this is the first mmorpg which has lots of nice quests and a huge nice fascinating atmosphere which i really liked a lot. first i was playing a rogue/undead but changed after some levels to one shaman/tauren and really enjoyed it.
unfortunately it has the same boring fantasy content like those all 1337 mmorpg´s outised.....mage, warrior, warlock..., common enough games with this crap already released, where are new ideas ?
i give this game good notes but cause of the same style i dont think this game can hold me for longer than only some weeks. cause of the same fantasy game style i cant give this game a better feedback, we have already enough games like that. but for ppl who like this fantasy mage style, it is maybe a new nice alternative game but in my opinion not any really new ideas.
