I urge everyone, even those of you who have not heard of the game, to check it out. JUST went into Open Beta and need your support! Real time combat system, actively dodge and aim attacks, house vs. house PVP, and a beautiful world and solid, original classes.

Thats what happens sometimes in open beta...

It becomes a cloed beta apparently :P  Game needs your help cause the initial launch was a massive failure. People blame it on the limited release, but truth is game blows.

Each of us is angel only with one wing and we can fly only embracing each other.

In case that's actually a serious question, this is what the site says:

Acclaim provides Spellborn game service to players in North America, South
America, United Kingdom, Albania, Andorra, Australia/New Zealand, Bosnia &
Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Greece,
Hungary, Italy, Israel, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Moldova, Poland, Romania,
Serbia & Montenegro, San Marino, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain and Turkey

If you're in one of those countries then at least you know your IP won't be blocked ;) The others will have to try.

Its an ok game ,I played for about an hour this morning and decided its not my thing. It nice looking and the graphics style is differnt than most other games. I did not like the UI interface nor how combat flowed. I can see how many folks will enjoy the game I just wont be one of them. Its worth trying out to see if it might fit your gameplay style .

i'm from Ukraine, and my country is not in the list :(   But i'll try to log in tomorrow, coz the game is still downloading)

To be perfectly honest I predict most people will have your reaction almost exactly. It's fun, it's pretty, but..... ect. There's just a little something or other that's not there.

You know,  I tought the same about Mass effect afther a single hour of play...turned out to be a great game.

Let me guess what  you done in that single hour.

    Made a toon.

Talk to the first npc and went to the basic training area (hit a dummy , shoot a dummy)

Went back and got a other little quest.

At that quest you pick up some stuff from the ground adn turn it in

you shot a few harmmless animals

    You gained a level.

You finaly found the rabbit dog afther looking in the woods first only to find it behind the quest giver near the wall

You went on and slain some wolfs .

well done, you just passed basic training for newbs and havent start to see the real game.

Up to level 10 all you do is learn the basic of the game. between level 10 and 20 you learn how to play whit your skills. beyond that lies the real gameplay.

I played till level 30 and then desited that the game was not one for me, Its a good fun experiance, in my eyes the game will be great for anyone who loves quest and pvp , Im just more of a free roamering roleplayer.

I have played enough games now to know if I like or dislike a game very quickly. I am also aware that many games change after a few levels of play and have high and low points. As I mentioned before, I found it to be just ok, its not bad or anything, just not to my taste.

What games people find fun is a highy subjective thing, take sports for example some folks like football or basketball but maybe they find hockey boring. Same with videogames, moives, food ect.

I think the game is worth downloading to see if you do enjoy it

The Ukraine is not a part of the Acclaim territory. Game Factory Interactive will be publishing the game in your country, but I can imagine you can not wait for that, so why do you not just play the European version of the game. You will get better network reponse times there. Look in this discussion for further information: EU IP block ended.

So there is no use to donload and register at Acclaim for me? It's a pity (((

But i can't play without any limits at https://eu-players.tcos.com, coz of this:

Thank you for registering a Game Account!

Your account is flagged as Free2Play.

With this account, you can experience The Chronicles of Spellborn and are able to:

Level your character until Fame level 7 (a limit is implemented before reaching 8).

Accept any quests, but once Fame limit is reached no objectives/quests completion.

Able to kill mobs, but once Fame limit is reached no kill credits (no Fame, PeP, or Item rewards).

Play in the bustling zones of Hakwsmouth and Aldenvault.

By subscribing to The Chronicles of Spellborn, all limitations will be immediately dropped!

So it's no use start to play this game if i don't want to pay monthly fee (((

The IP ban is now lifted you should be able to play on either version of the game and also pay if you wish to continue past the F2P section.

Being from the UK, i'm going back to the EU servers.

In your hurry to get into the game you must have missed that information. This game is not free-to-play, never was, and never will be.

You can only play the trial version of the game (which is the same as the normal version, but with a level cap at 7) without paying. This is even true for the Acclaim's open beta, meaning that without paying your characters will be level capped at 7 and you will only be able to visit the starter zone and one other zone. So actually, the Acclaim open beta is the same as the trial version.

In my opinion there is no open beta. They have already launched but call it an open beta for reasons only Acclaim knows. Maybe they want their CC payment system ready before they officially launch the game. That would make sense.

Level 7 cap? ROFL. Maybe they should call it farcemium instead of a freemium game. What do you know about a game in 7 levels? I guess accalims thinks you have seen enough. Maybe because there is not much else to see? LOL. That's just nuts.

Maybe you should try in judging it right away?

    Sigh..

You can always go back to Darkfall.

What do you know about an MMO in 14-days? Putz.

Also Synthetick, it's considered polite to ask before you go hotlinking to screenshots. And I don't say that in some removed esoteric sense, I say that as the guy who took those screenshots and is hosting them on the server I paid for. So far I'm doing okay but if those screenies get posted on a few more MMO sites I'll take all of them down, don't want to drain my bandwidth. Each image is over a meg after all.

    ^^

LOL. Children, learn to read, use basic logic, and post appropriately. Nothing either of you said made a bit of sense and both stink of knee jerk stupidity.

And maybe you should stick your tinkler in a blender and spare us your spawn. Barring that, you could actually go out and read about the game, Spellborn never was nor will be a F2P game. That lvl 7 cap is in place to give you a taste and should you like it subscribe. Exactly how every other P2P MMO does things.

If you think that's a scam you should see what the government takes from your paycheck every other week.
