It is hard to recommend a game to you when you've given us no information apart from your brief history.

What aspects of MMO's or the MMO's that you have played did you enjoy the most?

PvP, PvE, Graphics, Music, Environment, Community??

Ok this is what I am getting.

    Must have descent graphics.

    You like PvE (raiding/dungeons).

    You also love exploration.

You like to be apart of a guild.

WoW is probably the game for you. Besides from the various cheap WoW clones Lineage II may be a good option for you.

Lineage II design emphasis on party play for effective leveling. PvE content is very rich and the world is seemless (no loading screens). Raiding the big bosses requires hundreds of players which can be a good or bad thing.  Lineage II features a complex Clan system in which where they reward clans for recruting and helping new players and Siege Warfare where Clans can take over regions and collect taxes from the vendors.

People have complained about the impossible grind in the past however the recent update increased the leveling speed via a sort of vitality system, similar though a littlemore complex than WoW's rested exp. People have reported to have leveled characters to relatively high levels within a month or two since the patch. Also you do not absolutely need to be at the level cap to do anything you simply need to reach a high enough level for your particular class to be useful to the group, basically being of similar level so you can share exp and have the required skills to benifit the party.

The only problem for you is that it feature PK, that is anyone can kill you at any time. However these particular players have heavy penalties such as PK'ers will drop their items if they die. Also a pvp feature are the legendary demonic weapons.

Basically, everything in the entire world has an extremely small chance of dropping it. When it is dropped your character is immediately equipped and cannot get rid of it. When this happens, the sky darkens clouds gather and thunder. Announced to the entire world "The Demon Sword Zariche" has been found and anyone can locate the wielder via the map feature and fight the wielder without penalty. The possessor of the sword will have greatly magnified power and abilities, for each person he kills the sword makes him stronger but the duration of the sword lowers. If someone kills the wielder they can take the weapon.

Ah yes, can't believe i forgot about that game. Everquest 2 is a very good PvE centric game with alot of character customisation. Though the atmosphere may be darker to what you're used to in WoW. The graphics in my opinion are quite good, though I am not a graphics guy hehe, the animations may appear a little jittery and the models do have noticeable "corners" sorta like you can see the underlying polygons noticeably other than that Everquest2 is highly recommended to a PvE player such as yourself. There is also not much pressure to level up ASAP just enjoy it at your own pace.
