Have you played Roma Victor and Darkfall both? if so...
could we please get correspondent writers and moderators, on the eve forum at mmorpg.com, who are well-versed on eve-online and aren't just passersby pushing buttons? pretty please?
Roma Victor was the worst game I ever played. It was like someone decided to just take a dump on a server and call it a game.Darkfall, while below average (for me anyways) is at least playable and fun for some.
RV was like the Superman 64 of MMOs. By comparison, Darkfall is more like Daikatana.

Ahhh... who can forget that rolling train-wreck. That entire game was doomed almost from the start. Was just one disaster after another, it seems.
If you read the book, "Masters of Doom", that entire story is covered, from the inside - and it's all verified as accurate by all involved - John Romero, Stevie Case, Tom Hall, etc. Very, very good book overall.
Unfortunately (or fortunately, maybe?) I never tried Roma Victor, so I can't comment. But the Daikatana -> Darkfall reference certainly paints a picture.
