Well I played this game at launch,stuck around for a few months and cancelled.I then went on to play wow,aoc,and warhammer.I'll keep my sub to wow but war and aoc did nothing for me.So i thought i'd revisit lotr and see how things have changed and if it sparks my interest enough to stay around.We'll see

We're in the same boat. I did exactly as you did. I am hoping that LOTRO hooks me this time. I am way too tired of wow's endgame... and War just didn't deliver what was promised. Ill be leveling on Brandywine if anyone cares to join me. Peace.
Hehe, i have done the exact same thing the OP has aswell . I was wondering if anyone on the boards here can tell me if i should/need bother buying the Moria expansion right now, or i can hold off till i reach the higher levels.

Moria offers two more classes. But for the love of me i cant remember what they are called as i left and went back to WOW also lol. I think you need the xpac to start one of them. Been thinking of resubbing but not sure.

The Mom box included both the original game and the expansion for 30$. There is no reason not to, and there is no reason to buy the original game.

Yup, you do.
Other than that, no real reason to buy Moria, unless you happen to want the patched game on disk (except the 1 gig of Book 7), and not have to download the whole thing.

ya i also have the same problem. This is the problem i have with EVERY mmo i play though. I have been playing MMOS for so long and NOT ONCE have i made it to max lvl. I always stop and just get bored. I really like AoC and Lotro though so i think the free couple days they have to play starting March 26 will give me a good chance to try out the game one more time. Currently i am playing FFXI as it is the only MMO that always pulls me back. But i think LOtRO is also a great game and deserves a lot more credit that it gets. Also AoC seems to be picking it up as well! Check that out if u have a chance
My wife and I recently came back to LoTRO. I have a feeling this will become more and more commonplace over the next few months. To be honest, LoTRO is the best PvE MMO I've played...well, ever....and I'm an old dog!
As far as reaching max level, I've only managed to do that in a few games:
WoW (2 80s)
EQ1 (1 60..max at the time)
FFXI
DAoC
Shadowbane
AC2 (R.I.P)
.....actually nevermind. I guess I have hit the cap on a few games afterall. But I agree in that most MMOs I've played I haven't reached the top.

I just recently returned myself from about a 3 month Break - having a great time right now with mid-level classes....25-45....
What a great game, can't wait to experience Rohan, Gondor, Fangorn and all the other places Turbine is sure to bring us over the coming years!
WoW is the only one I've maxxed as well.
Every other game I seem to wind up with loads of mid-level toons.
