Yeah it does kinda look cartoonish but I think it looks good.

I'm not fond of the cartoonish graphics. I stopped watching cartoons around 20 years ago. But I'll still play it since it's Star Wars.

That is what I was THINKING but Im not sure if playing a DROID would be wise after all DROIDS are expandable. Just ask General Grievous.

Looking pretty nice ! I see in one of those pics a space ship flying, makes me wonder if we will be able to fly one of those.  Make the jump to light speed lets go go go !

These screen shots while Wow-ish, don't look bad. It's not until they add Player avatars to the screen shots that it starts to go to hell. They still look rather horrible. If they fix those I could live with the Wow style world graphics.

    OK,

Is the 2nd pic of Player Housing or is this some set NPC village?  This might be the first sign of player crafting, I hope.

That could be anywhere. That could be a Starting Area, for all we know.

What Happened With SWG Went Down YEARS AGO! Please Try To Stop Whining About It In Every Thread I Read. Mourn It, And Finally MOVE ON With Your Lives! Thanks A Heap.

Agree, but would like to know if they will take this game there.

    this screenshot is ok:

but the new ones... i dunno, they overuse just the wrong color pallete - to much pastel colors. give it a darker, more mature look.

I agree. I kept asking myself why things are so lit up. Why isn't the metal shining and etc. I see the wisdom in making a game playable on many different types of systems, but they only get one shot at this. Do they really want to stick with the pastel colors for the next 10 years as hardware gets better and cheaper, or do they continue to want to use quality of graphics that a Playstion could of ran?

Cuz the ones shown on this thread are old screens, these screens are misleading people now.

They did hint at player housing in the Hutta shots, and they have even confirmed that they are dropping hints. Also they confirmed that there will be artisans that create stuff for players, like Mando armor. I think we will see a lot of the features from SWG in this game +story content. They are just being vague to keep the hype down, but don't ignore their hints.

Bioware 'gets' Star Wars. I've gotten more of a 'Star Warsy' feel from the few screen shots we have seen than I ever received from SWG.

Bioware understands at least one aspect of Star Wars, and it's evident in these screenies: Massive scale. Everything in Star Wars is absurdly massive, and you can see Bioware depicting that theme in these screen shots. SWG never got that. Now that wasn't the only problem with SWG, but a bothersome detail. Neither will this be the savings grace of SW:TOR.  But it is highly encouraging!!

Still think the "art style" looks terrible and far too cartoonish. I just hope they can make up for it with gameplay.

Tried: LotR, CoH, AoC, WAR, Jumpgate Classic
    Played: SWG, Guild Wars, WoW
    Playing: Eve Online, Counter-strike
    Loved: Star Wars Galaxies
Waiting for: Earthrise, Guild Wars 2, anything sandbox.

I'm confused by some of the comments.  The screens don't look anything like WoW cartoon.  Are you refering to the backdrops?  Like the rocks and stuff?  The models in these screens are a lot more detailed then anything I've ever seen in WoW.
