in Open Beta Discussion

Can any1 tell me smth about this game? Coz I don't understand - is it Open or Closed Beta right now?

I wanna play it!! I wanna play it hard!!!!! =)

Each of us is angel only with one wing and we can fly only embracing each other.

    Isn't Mythos being made by Flagship Studios? The same guys that made Hellgate London? If it is, then they're probably in a real financial bind right now. I haven't heard anything about Mythos recently, probably vaporware for now.

    correct me if i'm wrong but the company is already bankrupted and the game is canceled indefinately.  Hell Gate is still okay cause the other company with that it's name said they will take over developing it and keep it open.

      All the properties of Flagship got bought out by a korean company, including Mythos, so it is possible to be seeing it in the future.

    the game wasnt spectacular so i dont see why people should be sad :P

    however... it was better than 95% of free mmos. not many achieve that.

    After Flagship went belly-up, some of the developers got together and started Runic Games.

     

    Flagship made some poor financial decisions, using the rights for Hellgate London and Mythos as collateral on a loan.  When they failed to pay off the loan, the rights for Hellgate and Mythos were given out accordingly.

     

    HanbitSoft is the company that now owns the rights to both games.  And here is the new official Mythos website (all in Korean).

    I remember following Mythos last year for a good three months or so.  I had just gotten access to an open beta key by stalking for devs on IRC when Mythos announced that it was closing.  I'm still sorta bitter about it... haha
