Darkfall: Alliances and War

In his latest Blog entry, Phil Guzzardo, better known as Paragus to folks here at MMORPG.com, takes a look at Alliances in Darkfall as battle lines are drawn across Agon.

Since the writing of my last entry, massive battles have broken out across Agon, and with these battles, the formation of alliances are starting to shape the political landscape. In a previous entry, I mentioned the web of guild relations and the possibility of a political map to help everyone understand it. Apparently the Darkfall community has decided to take matters into their own hands and we are starting to see the community try to understand where the lines are drawn.

When you look at the larger map, you can see the workings of what appears to be geopolitical relationships in some areas of the world. Specifically, the 4 sub-continents seems to have certain guilds who are working together in alliance to either fully control certain land masses, or who are bent on conquering them by driving off other guilds.

    in before trolls accuse the writer of being a paid Aventurine shill. I mean, people CAN'T be having a great time in Darkfall as it's still vapourware, right?

    Yeah, it is macroer verses macroer.  Reminds me of the mess Darktide became on Asheron's Call.

    I was hyped for this game, but the launch was the worst i have ever seen and well the stories in the forums make me wanna save my money for global agenda. I hope they get their act together so ppl who have bought the game can enjoy it and i might try it out too :)

    People already know its not vaporware although adventurine did little to stem that rumor at the time. The writer is entitled to his or her opinion but the real opinion is from the person that either plays the game or researches the game to see if he or she will play it.

    Personally i wont touch this game until it is handed off to a company that knows how to run a business properly. Ive also heard  enough mixed views on the game itself to stay away from it for now.

    Played : WOW, LOTRO, COH/COV, EQ2, SWG, and WAR.
    Playing EVE Online and AOC.
    Wtg for SW:TOR and WOD
