In general, I'm not a big fan of add-ons. Even when they're allowed, they feel like cheating, especially since you can be at a disadvantage by not having add-ons (healing grid add-ons for healers in games like WoW and WAR, for example). Yes, one could simply download and install the add-on in order to be competitive with those who already have it, but why should you have to? Devs allowing add-ons seems to be a cheap way to let players have "easy-mode" or to allow players to develop UI mods that account for legitimate deficiencies in the offical UI.
In a game like Darkfall, which is highly competitive, UI mods like radar, resource node maps, etc..., will give an unfair advantage.
I'm not a bi fan of addons. Especially after all the keylogging that occured through them in WoW. Still because Darkfall's user interface is so cumbersome, I wager any addon that is made would be widely used. Obviously an in game macro/harvesting tool would be most welcome
Well guys(and gals), Would the addition of add-ons make your gameplay and the gameplay of others more enjoyable? Ichben Einberliner

No thank you.
Ignorant.
Anyway, I don't think this will ever happen, the UI looks hard coded, and do you really expect a group that made that horrible UI to make a Add-on API?

I'm a big fan of add-ons. The UI is hideous and the hotbars unintuitive. But I'm going to guess it's just another aspect of this sandbox that I cannot change.

If you knew how the addon keyloggers spread i guess you wouldnt be complaining about addons , they were not spread through the addon code , more so that people like to click every exe file they extract to theyr desktop than anything else!
there was also a explorer invunrability that some malicious add took advantage of that spread some loggers some years back.
however none was spread through addon code , just stop clicking every exe you see and youll be fine!
