I think its just you, the game has pretty nice graphics IMHO. May not be the best out there but its good enough for me. It is a dark and gritty environment so its not going to be all bright and flashy like other game. Wow I didn't think they would get G4 to do that, since they are a Indie company and all the Darkfallowers said its so hard for an indie company to get coverage for their game. lol
This game is going to be sweet, its already fun from what ive experienced, I just hope I can talk my cousins in to quitting WoW with me to play this game. If not I guess I'll just have to big them a fairwell.
Is it just me, or do the graphics look exceptionally bad?
Well they're not the best ones i've seen and they could use improvement but if the game delivers the rest of the features and the animations are as good as they look like i can forgive the lack of AAA graphics

They certainly don't look good. I've had reservations about the graphics in this game for some time. This trailer hasn't done anything to address them.
Don't get me wrong, graphics are important, but not as important as gamers and developers have made them lately IMHO.
Currently playing: Halo 3, Team Fortress 2, Geometry Wars 2. Waiting for: Fallen Earth Past MMOs: FFXI, EvE Online, LOTRO. Betaed games: LOTRO, Tabula Rasa.
I thought the animation was surprisingly jerky in the XPlay interview, but the graphics themselves looked OK to me.
I'm actually here to rave a little bit about the comments made to XPlay: it's incredibly refreshing to see an online game developer who actually gets it.
95% of all items will be crafted? Check.
The best crafted items will be better than loot? Check.
For a business model, realize that it's smarter to start small and continuously grow (like EVE Online) than to try to start big and immediately begin continuously losing subscribers (like everybody except WoW)? Check, check, check.
I'm not personally attracted to the world of this game, and thus to the gameplay that must flow from it. I've already played enough games that are about non-stop killing.
But having said that, the folks making this game clearly are in touch with reality, unlike most MMORPG developers. And for that reason, I wish them the very best of luck with this game -- I hope they're hugely successful.

There is a distinct lack of non-fantasy alternatives at the moment so I'll probably give it a go.
Fun gameplay > AAA graphics.

I can not wait for this one. I hope it lives up to the hype!
