What about In-Game? I know that may not belong on off-topic, but if you mix in the website stuff it can. Also, I'm actually curious and I don't like to visit the other forums here.
Lord of the Rings Online has something where you get a letter from a "farmer" who asks for help protecting his hen house from a fox. It asks you to seek out a Town Crier and when you find one he allows you to enter a sort of mini-game called "Chicken Run". This turns you into a level 1 chicken in the middle of the pvp Zone and tells you that you have to make it to a city on the other side of the map without dying. NPC mobs can one-hit you, as can other players in the PVP Zone who are either playing as their own characters or monsters. You also get 4 special skills including a 50% run speed increase, a 50% Ranged Attack Dodge, a "Play Dead" skill, and a Stealth Detection skill. If you make it to the city you get access to a new Title which displays as "Fool".
The unfortunate part of this is that when you die you have to wait through a load time to appear back at the Town Crier as your character, then another load time to get back into the mini-game and respawn as a chicken. I tried at least half a dozen times and was wiped out extremely quickly each time. A lot of thought went into an April Fool's Event, but it's also pretty damn frustrating.
