It's 2:30 am ES Time here.  I can get into the servers screen, but they are all red X's and, to me anyways, they register as all "down."

Ah well, looks like I'll be playing tomorrow (or later today) after work then.

I just hope the bright side to this is: when i get back in, there will be a lot of "blue" for extra XP ready.  LOL.

If not, I guess I'll have to vent on some of those nasty bad guys hanging out in the Chetwood.  : P

Looks like I'm on Day 7 of my FREE 10 days ( X2 - cause my wife also wanted to try it.) without able to play.

Whoever came up with the idea of having a free week and a "welcome back" and Free 10 days when they were going to move the Data Center should find another job.  I know managing a MMORPG is a big task, but actually Planning a promotion to new players then moving datacenters?  Just lost the opportunity to recruit more people to the game.  LOTRO is not the only choice people have these days with MMORPG's.  Just look at the game list on this site.  It's not like they have a choice between Everquest and UO anymore.

Very dissapointing that they didn't have the forsight to see that a massive server downtime with no end in sight is a poor way to show off the game and company.

    Very amature display of management.

Looks like you're still very upset by Turbine's little goof up over the last day or so as your posting your feelings in "another" thread.

Nobody's perfect.  Yes, Turbine did screw up, at least in mine and many other's opinions as well.  But hey, overall, they have a VERY satisfied customer base for this game.  Most players I'm seeing say this is a rare mistake on Turbine's part and that the norm is the game and it's servers running very well and stable.

So, do yourself a favor, forgive and forget.  If you keep expecting perfection from others in life, you're in for a world and life of disappointment.  Give them another try, just make a new account and re-try the trial or something.

As i posted in your original venting thread (not saying there's anything wrong with venting by the way) from what I can tell of the reasons you and your wife want to play LoTR, I think you'd both really enjoy the game.  So be patient with them, when you finally get in (I know, it IS a bit of a job actually getting the game going) I think you'll both have a really good time.

There's an old saying, "Good things come to those who wait."  In this case, I think it may just apply to you.  : )

Good luck and I hope you get it going and are having fun soon.

The game servers were not moved in the data center move, infact they were up during the entire transfer, you were mostlikelty playing at the time.. also, this recent week or two is extremely atypical of turbine.
