Nexon has announced that they will be launching Dungeon Fighter, a side scrolling game which involves fighting your way through dungeons, in North America in 2009.
Nexon America Inc. (www.nexon.net), a world leader in free massively multiplayer online (MMO) games, announced today that it will roll-out the highly anticipated title Dungeon Fighter Online in 2009. Dungeon Fighter Online was released as Dungeon & Fighter in Asia and developed by Neople, which is a studio owned by Nexon. This new title delivers the classic side-scrolling action of an arcade fighting game with an immersive role-playing experience — all online and free-to-play.
Dungeon Fighter Online transports players into the mystical realm of Arad where dangerous dungeons abound. Gamers battle monsters as an individual explorer or team up to journey through exclusive multiplayer dungeons. Like other Nexon titles, the game’s controls are easy to learn and can be tailored to personal preferences.
“With its dynamic game play coupled with classic retro arcade feel, Dungeon Fighter Online is a household title in Asia,” said Min Kim, vice president of marketing for Nexon America. “Few games are able to make an impact in one genre. Dungeon Fighter Online delivers in two; as a great fighting game and as an engrossing social experience. We look forward to delivering this amazing experience to North American gamers this year.”
Players can choose from five distinct character classes—Fighter, Gunner, Mage, Priest and Swordsman—each featuring a unique set of abilities and powerful attack combinations. Each class further specializes into four sub-classes, which opens up further skills and customization.
Dungeon Fighter Online also allows players to challenge each other in a player-versus-player arena where players can sharpen the ability to customize their fighter for endless matchups with other warriors. Whether designing the appearance of a character or engineering how it attacks, Dungeon Fighter Online players can also further personalize their characters, by selecting a wide variety of armor, clothing, pets, skills and weapons available through an in-game items shop.

Mind, all it says for now is Coming Soon!, but at least this'll patch you through to the official page, something to bookmark and check out for updates from time to time.
Edit: There are a few YouTube videos out there, as well, which I'm not linking here... 'cause I'm just plain lazy, today.
I stopped at Nexon in the title. They can turn the greatest game into a miserable hacker-filled cash grab. I'll never waste one more second in any of their games. What a shame too because that game looked pretty promising. Wait until Nexon America gets a hold of it and you have to pay NX to breathe.
Am waiting for dragonica to be honest
seen screen shots of the game it is bad. VERY VERY BAD. most of Nexon games ar cheap and bad. This is another cheap game.
lol it looks terrible. every NEW nexon game looks awful tho.. I was impressed with them having audition (not anymore tho haha) and mabinogi too.. But maplestory isnt great, Sugar rush is awful and combat awful = terrible.. So yeah.
